Revisado: 04-08-25
Texts of this nature are always prone to provoke dissension and reflection: visions are perfectly biblical, but must be met and interpreted with caution and discernment. Instead of being swept away by the sensational, we must filter all such information through the lens of proper Biblical interpretation, a collective rather than individual effort. Perry Stone comes across as credible and relevant, and the visions referred to or relayed in this book warn us to be on guard against complacency or defeatism in a time of upheaval and judgment.

Gently formatted and lucid
Revisado: 03-14-25
I wish my brother in Jesus had lived beyond 60 to further help believers wrap their minds and hearts around the world of the Bible and the Word of God. Heiser was the best in the field of popularising theology: profound truths were made oh so accessible by this servant of God. I have learned a lot through his books. But Heiser mastered not only the art of explaining deep truths; he also mastered the format of the succinct and cohesive article. You can approach this book as you can a devotional. Not too much text each time, but enough to engage both heart and mind for a day.

Michael Heiser truly was a gifted communicator and scholar. His clear-cut and non-scholarly no-nonsense explanations and comments really shed light on many aspects of both Bible use and Bible application. All believers serious about their relationship with God should engage with Heiser in this book. It’s very rewarding. Trust me.

Starts well, doesn’t finish equally well
Revisado: 02-22-25
Life in heaven or the new earth God has promised is a tantalising and fascinating topic. Perry Stone presents personal stories, NDE stories and scriptures to inform and persuade readers of the validity of his main points: it’ll be far from dull. So far so good. But towards the end he ventures into speculation about specific end time events and features that to me appear unnecessarily rigid and somewhat far-fetched. I won’t dissuade you from reading it, but would rather recommend other books on the subject.

Historia
Before its end as a nation, there appeared in ancient Israel nine specific warnings and omens of national destruction. These same nine harbingers are now manifesting in America with profound ramifications for America’s future and end-time prophecy. Hidden in an ancient biblical prophecy from Isaiah, the mysteries revealed in The Harbinger are so precise that they foretell recent American events down to the exact days.

Mysterious and yet riveting
Revisado: 02-16-25
I had read books by Jonathan Cahn before, but this proved to be a different experience - in that this came as a storyline rather than a non-fiction text. There is a plot, for sure, which is intriguing and well-ordered throughout the book. And yet, given that I’ve read a lot of his other material, the suspicion grew incrementally that the main character was none other than Cahn himself, for some reason disguised as someone else, an alias perhaps. Whether correct or not, «The Harbinger» contains a shocking and mind-boggling message to all people everywhere: history is being unravelled and directed towards its very climax. We are living in the very days leading up to the return of Christ, the pinnacle of all events. And God is speaking to humanity warning us to return to him before the end. Read The Harbinger. Do read it.

We Are Legion, For We Are Many shatters the paradigm by soberly and frighteningly exposing how, before and after the presidency of Donald Trump, the United States was—and now is again—on an intentional trajectory to fulfill the occult aspirations of dark dominions during the Hebrew year 5785 (2024-2025). While the United States is considered the most technologically advanced nation in the world, spiritual regression abounds.

Insightful though overreaching
Revisado: 02-13-25
I didn’t expect to rate this book as highly as I ultimately have. That to a large extent is down to the somewhat confusing mix of separate and slightly diverging themes and subject matters. The title suggests a unified treatment of a
nebulous topic (We are legion), but instead we get a collection of texts and approaches that sometimes seem unrelated and not panoramic. Not until the end do we surmise the intended unity of the various contributions we have been engaging. This is very challenging to the reader not prepared to deal with a collection of texts rather than a well-partitioned single work of a single author. However, having presented these slight criticisms, I will still recommend it for its contribution towards equipping saints with insight and discernment into the complex and spiritually charged conflict of these end times.

Historia
Two decades after the publication of The Black Book of Communism, nearly everyone is or at least should be aware of the immense evil produced by that devilish ideology first hatched when Karl Marx penned his Communist Manifesto two centuries ago. Far too many people, however, separate Marx the man from the evils wrought by the oppressive ideology and theory that bears his name.

Very insightful
Revisado: 01-29-25
Paul Kengor is (pun intended) a very skilled scholar. This is very evident from reading this book. The beginning and final section are by far the best and most captivating and informing, where the inception and consequences of Marxist thought and practice are spelled out in great clarity. I would have loved to award this with five stars, but found the middle section too long to warrant my undivided attention. But still I will recommend it heartily.

Atheism is on the march in the western world, and its enemy is God. And if religion is the problem with the world, their answer is simple: Get rid of it. But are things really so straightforward? Tackling the likes of Richard Dawkins, Stephen Hawking, Christopher Hitchens, and Daniel Dennett head on, John Lennox highlights the fallacies in the their approach, arguing that their irrational and unscientific methodology leaves them guilty of the same obstinate foolishness of which they accuse dogmatic religious folks.

Revisado: 01-29-25
The senior gentleman defender of the faith exhibits yet again his incredible depth of knowledge, lucid intellect and crystal clear communication skills. It’s not a lengthy piece, but it addresses new atheism succinctly and brilliantly, equipping believers to confront and refute glib critics of the veracity of belief in the creator of our universe.

Surprising feat by scholar
Revisado: 01-03-25
Michael Heiser’s scholarship was towering and inspiring. I knew that. He could engage his readers thoroughly even when dispensing huge, meaty chunks of scholarship. I knew that. But I had no idea he was also completely capable of churning out a most compelling page-turner of a thriller, combining excellent scholarship with scintillating and unendingly suspenseful fiction. A stranger to the genre, I cannot evaluate the book through other eyes than that of a novice, but this novice concludes: well done!

Historia
Daniel's story is one of extraordinary faith in God lived out at the pinnacle of executive power. It tells of four teenage friends, born in the tiny state of Judah about 26 centuries ago, but captured by Nebuchadnezzar, emperor of Babylon. Daniel describes how they eventually rose to the top echelons of administration. Daniel and his friends did not simply maintain their private devotion to God; they maintained a high-profile witness in a pluralistic society antagonistic to their faith.

Clear-cut advice and profound analysis
Revisado: 12-15-24
Although I was familiar with much of the backstory to the book of Daniel, reading Lennox’ book brought new and old insights into a clear focus. Lennox is brilliant in distilling lessons from ancient wisdom for contemporary believers. Not overly scholarly in his style of writing, Lennox aspires to, and succeeds convincingly, to communicate weighty insights to inquiring minds of today.
