Historia
Long ago, so the Storyteller claimed, the evil god Torak sought dominion and drove men and Gods to war. But Belgrath the Sorcerer led men to reclaim the Orb that protected the West. So long as it lay at Riva, the prophecy went, men would be safe. That was only a story, and Garion did not believe in magic dooms, even though the man without a shadow had haunted him for years.

Read this over and over when young
Revisado: 01-30-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Pawn of Prophecy to be better than the print version?
Not really, like some have commented the narrator was not who i would ahve picked, though he was alright.
What other book might you compare Pawn of Prophecy to and why?
I am not sure that you can. People will always go for Tolkien but Tolkien was much more serious. This one was more heart warming than serious. The characters are admirable and characters you would want as friends. The bantering that they give to one another is similar to the back and forth that you would see on shows like Friends or Big Bang Theory. Reading this book is really just a way to escape and to in a way make new friends among the characters. Trust me you will come to think of them like that.
Which character – as performed by Cameron Beierle – was your favorite?
My favorite Character was Aunt Pol. But I am not sure if that is as rendered by the narrator.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There were many. It was as I said a heart warming book in many parts.
Any additional comments?
Give it a try, here or in print. I think that even if you do not like the genre you may like this.

Like 'Sleeping with the Enemy' until the end
Revisado: 01-30-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Safe Haven to be better than the print version?
Not sure have not read the print version. But the narrator was good.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I suppose Katie the main character.
What does Rebecca Lowman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She transistions into the different voices in a way that does not pull you from the story.
If you could take any character from Safe Haven out to dinner, who would it be and why?
I suppose Katie again.
Any additional comments?
Like I said it reminded me of that Julie Roberts film 'Sleeping with the Enemy' until the very end when it had a minor twist. Though not all that surprising of one in hindsight given the author.

Historia
Waverly Bryson is a successful businesswoman in her late 20s who almost has it all: a dream job in sports PR, two best friends, and a bar where everybody knows her name. What she doesn’t have is a ring on her finger. And after being ditched at the altar, she’s in no hurry to get one. Besides, plenty of other issues keep her busy, including her wayward father, a new rival at work, and an ever-nagging fear that her life is not turning out as she thought it would...or should.

Even as a guy I enjoyed these books. Fun read
Revisado: 01-30-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
In fact my girlfriend and I have gifted this series to several of her friends.
What did you like best about this story?
A window into a world I never suspected existed. I had to stop the audio even couple of minutes for my girlfriend to explain things to me I had never heard of but apparently are part of a language every girl knows. But the humanity and getting yourself into trouble and embarrasing circumstances is universal. Sort of a Brigit Jones sort of book. If you liked that you might like this even more.
What does Julia Whelan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Nice pleasant voice. Helps you dive into the book.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, I would say so, though my girlfriend and I listened to it in the car so over quite a few sittings.
Any additional comments?
Try the book, I think that you will like it and want to listen to all three.

Detailed story that holds your attention.
Revisado: 01-30-13
Would you listen to The Naming again? Why?
Not sure if I would reread this book. Maybe. Will know better once I read all the books in the series.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Naming?
Likely the rescue near the start of the heroine of the book.
Which scene was your favorite?
Not sure if it was a scene as much as the richness and depth of the story.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Again not really one moment.
Any additional comments?
If you like rich character and world development this is one of those books that draws you in. I enjoyed the book quite a bit and will read further.
