Revisado: 05-18-24
Andrew lends the reader his amazing eyes and mind to give the reader a special and unique way to understand Yeshua. Klavan writes with true linguistic mastery. Every word is an intention. I love the man. I am grateful for his life - a gift to his fans. The Epilogue is worth reading at least twice.

What took me so long? Couldn't put it down!
Revisado: 03-01-23
I'm 63 so I should have read this by now. Maybe I was avoiding it. There is a special feeling that comes from starting a new book. Like starting on journey, there is a sense of anticipation and excitement. It begins with an expectation of discovery and emotions sprung from relationships birthed by the author and developed out of the willingness to travel down the roads to the places they take you.
It takes a commitment to start a 600+ page literary classic. I like to begin a great book prepared and at the right moment. I have to ready myself and make a conscious choice to begin. It is intentional and even planned sometimes. Or at least there is a decision to do this thing - to begin with a promise to oneself to finish. Otherwise, I don't even like to peak. Never have these senses been more so, heightened and validated within the first few paragraphs, than with this classic. Hello "East of Eden" by John Steinbeck.
East of Eden is one of those very rare books that you sink into and lose yourself and find yourself. It is a beautiful, poignant work of genius.

I liked Ron DeSantis before . . . but WOW!
Revisado: 03-01-23
This book has the perfect title, because it is going to take courage to save our nation. When we need to fight Disney to protect young children we know there is a problem in America. I gulped this book down -- that's how thirsty I was for leader with Ron DeSantis qualities and character. They are so rare and I honestly can't think of one that measures up to Mr. DeSantis! I live in NY, so I fully appreciate why neighbors, friends and family are leaving my state and it is saddens me greatly. This book is a must read regardless of your party. Ron's message and facts may be the only treatment for Trump Derangement Syndrome. I sure do hope Ron DeSantis declares he is running for President. If you are a Republican, Conservative, Independent, Libertarian or a center right Democrat who is sick of your party AND you don't want to vote for Trump -- #RonDeSantis2024 is for you!!

The biggest thing I learned is how much more relatable and likable Jesse is. Like Trump, he came along right when America needed him. I wouldnt say Jesse saved the world. But he saved a lot of audience who truly need the relief he served up night after night.

Historia
From Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States to the New York Times' 1619 project, the modern Left views American history through the lens of competing oppressions, replacing the traditional understanding that all Americans are part of a shared journey toward the perfection of universal ideals. Their attacks on the values that built our nation, from the rights to free speech and self-defense to the importance of marriage and faith communities, are insidious because they replace each of them with nothing beyond an increased reliance on the government.

HERE IS WHY AMERICANS SHOULD READ THIS BOOK:
Revisado: 08-30-21
Ben Shapiro wrote an important book. Read it --- because its happening just the way he explains it.
What if you (or me) is contributing to the downfall of America and we don't even know it? What if we "mean well" but our good intentions are misplaced because we fail to see or understand the greater picture? And how would we even know that we are part of the problem? How would we recognize the consequences of our actions before it is too late?
Read Ben Shapiro's book!

An authoritative and deeply personal narrative history of the State of Israel, by one of the most influential journalists writing about the Middle East today. Not since Thomas L. Friedman's groundbreaking From Beirut to Jerusalem has a book captured the essence and the beating heart of the Middle East as keenly and dynamically as My Promised Land.

Godless Book
Revisado: 08-28-21
it is ironic that a book about the Promised Land manages to ignore the "promise." The author boasts about secularism and all but denies God has any part in the story. Just because the author wrote God out his book doesn't mean God doesn't will be written out of the story. Perhaps his mistake is what threatens Israel's future most of all and explains Tisha B'Av.
The author explains Israel's atrocities well enough. This book may as well be a PR treasure chest for anti-Zionnist seeking facts and quotes to make their case against Israel. But it failed to explain what makes Israel a great nation. And in the end of the story the author had little to pin Israel's ultimate security on.

Historia
According to the establishment media, the intelligentsia, and our political chattering class, the greatest threat to American freedom lies in right-wing authoritarianism. We’ve heard that some 75 million Americans who voted for Donald Trump represent the rise of American fascism; that conservatives have allowed authoritarianism to bloom in their midst, creating a grave danger for the republic.

My goodness this book is heavy. I gotta wonder how many finish this book. Take the title seriously because this is a scientific hypothesis proof. My power and internet have been out and I just put my head down and plowed through to end. i was determined to finish it so I didn't have read it anymore. LOL.
As for God --- Meyer proved it to me. No way we are purely a random materialistic reality.

Israel. The small strip of arid land is 5,700 miles away but remains a hot-button issue and a thorny topic of debate. But while everyone seems to have a strong opinion about Israel, how many people actually know the facts? Here to fill in the information gap is Israeli American Noa Tishby.

One for the Ages
Revisado: 05-26-21
Noa Tishby wrote a book for her 4 year old son - and for all the children in Israel and every parent and grandparent who hopes for the future that the promise of Zionism can be realized. This is a book for people who hate Israel. If ever there was a book that proved that hate can't handle the truth, this is it. This book manages to trigger deep emotions with facts. This is a book you will want to give as a gift to everyone you know - everyone! And you should - right after you read it.
The one thing that bothers me is how gorgeous the author is. God blessed this woman more than it seems fair. Wasn't brilliant and talented enough? Don't look at her picture until after you've finished her book. LOL.
I love Noa Tishby and if I ever had the good fortune to meet her, I would not be able to tell her.

Are you an altacocker? if you know you should enjoy this story. I did. At least half the pleasure is the yiddish. A pirate theme is the perfect context for the "colorful" nature of yiddish. This is a book you give to others - altacockers like yourself. Baruch Hashem.
