Historia
Ken Follett's World Without End was a global phenomenon, a work of grand historical sweep beloved by millions of readers and acclaimed by critics. Fall of Giants is his magnificent new historical epic. The first novel in The Century Trilogy, it follows the fates of five interrelated families - American, German, Russian, English, and Welsh - as they move through the world-shaking dramas of the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the struggle for women's suffrage.

Gripping, expertly blends fact with fiction
Revisado: 07-07-23
Narrator did excellent job, especially with different voices Engaging, well written characters.
Very well researched, I learned a lot about WWI era politics even though this was a work of fiction. Author was very historically accurate and did a wonderful job blending fictional characters and real events, and it was incredibly fascinating seeing WWI unfold through the eyes of British, Russian, German, and American characters with different ideals and different social classes.

Historia
Khrushchev's 1959 trip across America was one of the strangest exercises in international diplomacy ever conducted. He told jokes, threw tantrums, sparked a riot in a San Francisco supermarket, wowed coeds in an Iowa home-economics class, and ogled Shirley MacLaine. He befriended and offended a cast of characters including Nelson Rockefeller and Marilyn Monroe. The trip took place in the 50s, with the shadow of the hydrogen bomb hanging over his visit like the Sword of Damocles.
