Historia
What does an elite Navy SEAL Team operator trained to kill the United States’ most dangerous enemies do when he realizes his skills aren’t being properly utilized? He leaves the Navy. In American Mercenary, Daniel Corbett takes listeners on a wild ride through the unadulterated, morally ambiguous, and riveting world of being a hired gun. From Abu Dhabi to Washington, D.C., Cairo to San Diego, Belgrade to places that must remain secret, this is a world where money rules, and where adventure, danger, and absurdity often follow.

Historia
Historical recruitment campaigns to become a Royal Marines Commando drew on a harrowing but intriguing narrative: 99.9% Need Not Apply. In 2005, only one in a thousand applications for the Royal Marines were successful in reaching the end of training, earning the Coveted Green Beret - a world-renowned symbol of excellence. Becoming the 0.1% is the first-ever diary account of this training regime, charting the odds stacked journey of a 20-year-old recruit and the psychological underpinnings written by him 14 years later.

Having served with the elite I can say I resonate with this well spoken book. Gareth nails the insecurities and anxieties that were felt but never spoken. Having never served with Royal Marines but wishing I had this also serves as a fascinating look backstage at the process of civvi to commando. Loved every second of this. Will re-listen again in the future.. respect!

Historia
This is not a straightforward memoir. Instead, it is a book that distills the processes and tactics Anthony 'Staz' Stazicker gathered throughout his career in the Special Forces—gunfights, door-kicking operations, and against-the-odds escape—and how these hard lessons informed his later successes with multi-million pound start-up clothing company ThruDark.
