Historia
Nestled deep in Litchfield Hills, Connecticut, a 1790 farmhouse sits near the epicenter of a paranormal commotion. The family that resides there regularly encounters its own ancestors and strangers - human and nonhuman - who seemingly occupy the same physical space in our world while remaining in their own parallel worlds. When famous ghost hunters Ed and Lorraine Warren investigated, they dubbed it "Ghost Central".

terrible

I did not finish listening to this. the female narrator kept going back and forth from sounding like a robot to an actual person with emotions. it was very odd and hard to listen too.
I'm upset that I wasted a credit on this. I wanted to hear a true haunting story but this was a big disappointment

I liked the story

I've read the book and wanted to hear the story again. I enjoyed it. however, the narrator's voice was too sweet and theatrical sounding. I did not like the way she performed the male voices either.

the story was entertaining. I felt like there weren't a lot of steampunk references or elements in the story. just a few things mentioned. the narrator had a nice voice but her lysp was distracting.

the story kept me entertained. the narrator was ok. she pronounced some words a bit funky so it threw me off. the way she did the male voices sounded odd too. but overall I enjoyed it. I'm a fan of Anna godbersen.

Historia
There's something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price's attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He's the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

I read the book years ago and wanted to hear it again. it's not a complicated story and it helps pass the time. I wasn't thrilled with the narrators voice. she sounded a bit too mature to be reading a teen focused book. it was a little odd.

I really enjoyed the story. I love this Era and paranormal, two of my favorite things in one book! I dis think it was odd that some accents had changed from the fist book though.

Historia
Something dark and evil has awakened.... Evie O'Neill has been exiled from her boring old hometown and shipped off to the bustling streets of New York City - and she is pos-i-tute-ly ecstatic. It's 1926, and New York is filled with speakeasies, Ziegfeld girls, and rakish pickpockets. The only catch is that she has to live with her uncle Will and his unhealthy obsession with the occult. Evie worries her uncle will discover her darkest secret: a supernatural power that has only brought her trouble so far.

I read the book first and really enjoyed the story. I really enjoy stories from the 1920s and paranormal. I was not in love with the narrator although she did a great job with the accents some of the characters she played just sounded a little weird. I just wasn't wowed by her performance. but it's a great story and Libba Bray is a great author

Historia
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.
