Interesting
Revisado: 06-21-23
The series so far has been fantastic. The author builds a world and characters that are believable. The mysteries and the plot are engaging. It's a fun fluff book for hard core horror readers but scary enough to give some chills if horror and suspense aren't your thing. All around a great book and series so far.
The narration is also done well creating characters and keeping in line with them. She does a fantastic job.

Sweet and funny
Revisado: 02-15-23
An adorable book. The narrator did a great job and listing to it seemed effortless. In true romcom style there were misunderstandings, bonding, exes and finally a happy ending. Fabulous. I enjoyed that it wasn't spicy as those scenes would have taken from the general lightness of the book.

The first time I met Hudson Rothschild was at a wedding. I’d received an unexpected invitation to one of the swankiest venues in the city. Hudson was a groomsman and quite possibly the most gorgeous man I’d ever laid eyes on. He asked me to dance, and our chemistry was off the charts. I knew it wasn’t a good idea to get involved with him, considering the wedding I was at. But our connection was intense, and I was having a great time. Though the fun came to a screeching halt when Hudson figured out I wasn’t who I’d said I was.

Sexy Sweet
Revisado: 07-13-22
I loved the story here and how the characters developed. I enjoyed that there wasn't the huge moment after the guy had been clueless the whole book had finally woken up to make a huge gesture that just seemed to be ok and make the woman fall in love with him again after he'd done or said something horrible. He was steady and reliable and unwavering in his attraction to her. After she had come to terms with the situation so was she. Looking back it feels a bit like there are two different books here; an office rom-com then the later half is a romantic drama. The end is heavy and feels a bit rushed after the very slow build of the first half.
There are a few sex scenes. The scenes for the most part are logically placed and don't seem to be tossed in just for the sake of adding some extra spice. They are a bit crass in the depiction for my taste though. As I usually stray from books with smut I might just not be used to it. The ending was gorgeous but it's brilliance was dulled because of what seemed like an ill placed sexualized conversation but still a good ending to an interesting book.
The narration was amazing as always with Sebastian York and Andi Ardnt. I have yet to listen to something I didn't enjoy from either of them.

When Reggie Johnson answers a job ad in the paper, she’s astonished to find that she’s not applying to work at her favorite card game, Spellcraft: The Magicking. Instead, she’s applying to be an actual familiar for an actual witch. As in, real magic. The new job has a few perks—great room and board, excellent pay, and she's apprenticing to a powerful witch. Sure, the witch is a bit eccentric. And sure, there was that issue with the black cat Reggie would prefer to forget about. The biggest problem, however, is warlock Ben Magnus.

Interesting
Revisado: 07-04-22
Overall it was ok. I really liked the idea and the story. The character development was really good too. Both the main characters had a lot of development that felt real. I wish there had been more closure with the parents. The ending in general felt a little rushed but was really interesting anyway. I was happy that all the guesses I had made about the who done it were wrong, it was a nice surprise.
The included NSW scenes and language felt a bit crass and hasty. I honestly think the book could have been better with out some of them drawing away from the plot. By the end of the book I was feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Four blind dates in five days. I can’t believe I agreed to this. Actually, I can. That’s what I do. I agree to things I don’t want to do to make other people happy. In this case, my four best friends. They’re worried about me, and if going on a few dates will make them happy, then I’ll do it. How bad could they be? I probably shouldn’t have asked that.

Real
Revisado: 06-28-22
It was full of funny moments and cringy dates topped with the happy ever after, but there was so much more. This isn't just a story about two people who just keep running into each other it was a story about grief and healing and what it like dating in the real world 30 and older. The characters went through real development and had backgrounds who made them believable. All of the things you learn and go through with them makes the ending that much sweeter. If you're looking for something spicy with love scenes this isn't it, but please try it anyway. It's worth reading even with out those and arguably better without them. I loved this book and I'm so glad I used a credit for it.

And Tiger Lyons, the girl he did wrong in high school, is supervising the renovation of his new home and living in his pool house. Awesome
Revisado: 06-20-22
Such a good one. The narration was top notch which really brought the characters to life and added depth to all the situations they got into. The story was charming and the character development felt real. I'm a sucker for cringe, funny moments and happily ever afters with a bit of spice. This book delivers. There are two sexy scenes if it's something that you want to know but it doesn't take over the book.
Loved it and I will definitely be reading it again.

It’s officially booty o’clock, I’m alone again in my kitchen choking down a slice of terrible chocolate cake…and I’m pretty sure I just got drunk texted by the man I have a ginormous crush on. I’ve been daydreaming about Eliot Hoffman’s dimples for two months, and even though I’m sure this was a mistake on his end, it doesn’t mean it’s not an opportunity on mine. It’s the middle of the night, and I just wanna talk to him. So I text him back.

Another Good One
Revisado: 06-02-22
At this point I have binged three of these in the past three days and I love them. I love everything about them. I love that the voice actors are so damn good. I love that the characters in Call Me Maybe, Sweet Talk and I'm (pretty sure) Seat Mates all show up for cameos. I love how light they feel while listening to them with out loosing plot and character development. I especially love the women, Jessie, from this story. She takes no prisoners and is a grade A bad ass. So great. I wish there were more like these three. I would be broke.
If the author miraculously reads this - good job and thank you.

Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days. Except my shiny new website is glitching, and my inner rage-monster is ready to scorch some earth...when he finally picks up. Not the robot voice I expected but a real live human named Kal.

This was so great. The voice actors were amazing and did such a great job. The story was adorable and the characters were relatable. The characters grew and changed and it was so fun listening to them get closer and closer. I loved how sweet the ending was. Great all the way around.

I have exactly 5 hours and 10 minutes to get from Boston to New York City or the professional opportunity of a lifetime disappears. My only travel option? The second to last seat on a discount bus. Across from the bathroom. Wearing last night’s clothes (don’t ask). All worth it if I can make it in time.

All Talk
Revisado: 06-01-22
I loved listening to this. A story based almost solely on the conversation between two people. The details you would normally receive from long descriptions in texts are created by sounds in the story and the rest is up to the imagination. What a brilliant way to tell a story.
The voice actors were phenomenal. They didn't just read the part like you can find in some audio readings they actually acted it which added to the world creation. You could hear what they felt and see the faces they were making just by the inflections and tones in their voices.
The story itself was a charming race to the finish line with proper build of environment and character development.
It was light, funny and easy to listen to even of it was mostly dialog of two characters first sharing a bus ride then sharing an adventure.
10/10 would recommend 👌
