Bob Doerr has written a very intriguing story, as an audio book is the best my wife and have listened to so far. Mike Steele’s rendition of the book puts you right in the story, with all Mikes voices it’s a good crowd . Thanks guys. When is the next book 😁

Historia
Take an unemployed computer hacker living in an RV on the beach in Florida, a cranky cat named Mango Bob, Oscar the wiener dog, a pot-smuggling granny, and a once-famous Hollywood movie star out to reclaim lost glory. Put them all together in a clothing-optional trailer park, along with a clumsy meth cook and a larcenous park manager. Add in a budding romance, a slow boat chase up the Intracoastal waterway, and what do you get? Mango Bay!

It Was Worth the Wait
Revisado: 12-08-22
Our family loved the first two books in the "Walker and Mango Bob" series. My wife and I started listening to them when we drove to work and back. Then our 11-year-old granddaughter caught wind of Mango Bob (the 1st one) one day and she became hooked. She started asking if she could listen to it with us. We all became addicted to the series.
We found ourselves listening to both of them together. More than once actually because we couldn't wait for the next one. The time we spent together was so special. It's rare to have something in todays world that 3 generations of a family enjoy doing together.
Well, our wait paid off! This is the best one yet! Myers has done it again. Creating an imaginative story including characters you can dislike, like, and yes even love. Walker once again finds himself caught up in another adventure, or two, or three that he really didn't see coming. For a 30 something guy who's esentially retired and living in a motorhome with his cat, he sure never gets to enjoy much peace and quiet.
And the Narration of Steele brings them to life. It's great that Myers uses the same narrator for his books. It makes it so easy to identify with the main character Walker.
So, get the family together as a group. Just like they did back when we were kids (nope, not telling you when that was), and enjoy some quality family time and be thoroughly entertained.

Historia
John Walker—recently divorced and living in a motorhome near the beach in Florida—seems to be on a lucky streak. No matter what he does, he comes out a winner. He's won the lottery, found a pot of gold, and met the perfect woman. But good luck often comes with complications. His perfect woman "needs her space" and suggests that he takes a vacation—without her. So he packs up his motorhome, aka "The Love Bus", and heads off to Florida's Treasure Coast in search of long-lost gold from the Spanish Fleet wreck of 1715.

can hardly wait for the next book
Revisado: 10-23-22
Finally! It’s about time guys! Mango Bob left my wife and I with a serious Bob/Walker addiction. We listened to Mango Bob twice to hold us over until the new release of Mango Lucky. Didn’t think we’d make it, but we did. It is so nice to have books we can listen to together that just make us feel good. Where the hero is just basically a nice, decent and moral guy. With all the problems in the world today it’s nice to have an escape the whole family can listen to together. And Myers & Steele are a perfect match! Myers incredible imagination creates characters that you can connect to. Ones you can like and dislike. And Steele brings them to life. Well done guys! We can’t wait for Mango Bay! Just please don't make us wait too long.

Historia
Walker has just lost his job, his wife has filed for divorce, and he’s living in a tent down by the river. Being ever-resourceful, Walker swaps his truck for a motorhome (a.k.a. "the Love Bus"), and agrees to drive it cross-country to sleepy Englewood, Florida, so he can deliver a cat named Mango Bob to a woman he's never met. Should be easy, right? Drive to Florida, hand over the cat, and then hang out on the beach. Except there’s an unsolved murder involving the Love Bus, the Mexican mafia, and a half million in missing gold coins.

Warning! This book is addictive!
Revisado: 10-04-22
My wife and I started listening to this as we were driving to and from work. It wasn't long until we discovered we were missing turns that were previously automatically taken. We'd drive right by because we were so lost in the story. Then there were times we'd get to where we were going but didn't want to get out of the car. Or we'd get home and discover we'd forgotten to run an errand on the way home.
This book has transformed two previously organized people in to Mango Bob addicts, as well as our 11 year old granddaughter. We are well into the second book of the series (Mango Lucky) and it is feeding our addiction rather nicely.
Our main complaint with the series is that it is taking far too long between books! Pick up the pace guys!

Very fun and very well done well worth the time
Revisado: 06-23-22
"This book is an absolutely delightful listen! It is best described as a romantic comedy, and it is full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing. The writing is excellent, and the voiceover brings all the crazy characters to life. And the occasional sound effects used by the narrator put it on a level above anything else I've listened to. So, if you're looking for a feel-good, creative, well written, unpredictable, heart-warming, laugh out loud funny way to spend some time, this is the book for you. It is rated R for language and adult content, so listener discretion is advised. I can't wait for Michael (Vlaseks') and Mike (Steeles') next project. They make a GREAT team!"

Historia
Hidden Behind the Robe is a tapestry of stranger-than-fiction scenes, observed over Matt Graham’s 43-year career in the criminal justice system. The story traverses the unexplored and overlooked inner workings of the raunchy, salacious, often hilarious, behind-the-scenes happenings of Los Angeles justice. Combining issues of privilege, race, and sexual misconduct, Hidden Behind the Robe provides a raw, behind-the-scenes perspective, and insight into the legal system that could only have been written by a Judge who has seen it all.

Title: What a great story!
Revisado: 04-02-22
This needs to be on your definite book to listen to list.
My wife and I are big fans of listening to podcasts and audiobooks on our way to work and back. Depending on the commute it can range from between 25 and 40 minutes. A good friend of mine mentioned Behind the Robe. He said it was a good audiobook and I should check it out.
From the name of the book, it was hard to figure out what it was about. The book was written by a former judge in the LA county superior court system. The book gives you a whole new insight into a behind the scenes look at what judges deal with on a daily basis. Parts of it were absolutely hysterical. There was one section where we had to turn it off twice to compose ourselves. Other sections could bring you to tears.
It’s well written and well narrated. If you’re looking for an audio book that you can lose yourself in, this is certainly it. With the writing and narrating partnership of Matt Graham and Mike Steele, it is an absolute pleasure to listen to. My advice is they didn’t charge enough. We would have gladly paid more.
