Historia
Today should be one of the worst days of 17-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. She's stuck at JFK, late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon to be step-mother that Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's in seat 18C. Hadley's in 18A.

Bad accent
Revisado: 01-31-25
I’m not sure if I can get through this book because of the narrator’s terrible British accent. I’m not liking the character of Oliver, but I think it’s just because I can’t stand it when he talks.

Historia
It’s been a year since his ex-boyfriend dumped him and moved from Auckland to Buenos Aires, and Valdin is doing fine. He has a good flat with his sister Greta, a good career where his colleagues only occasionally remind him that he is the sole Maaori person in the office, and a good friend who he only sleeps with when he’s sad. But when work sends him to Argentina and he’s thrown back in his former lover’s orbit, Valdin is forced to confront the feelings he’s been trying to ignore—and the future he wants.

Kind of pointless
Revisado: 11-26-24
It felt like there was never really much to the plot. I kept waiting to figure out what it was about. But I guess it’s just about people and their lives. It was fine to listen to, but not very memorable. Also not sure why it was billed as “for fans of Schitt’s Creek” other than the fact that there are gay characters.

This book was so cute! I loved the characters and their relationships. Emma is so good at writing characters you fall in love with.
I wish there was more marching band!

Historia
It's not all sugar and spice at Basil's Bakery, where seventeen-year-old Aurelie is an overworked, underappreciated apprentice. Still, the job offers stability, which no-nonsense Aurelie values highly, so she keeps her head down and doesn't dare to dream big—until a stranger walks in and hands her a set of Seeking stones. In a country where Seeking was old-fashioned even before magic went out of style, it's a rare skill, but Aurelie has it. The stranger, who turns out to be a remarkably bothersome bounty hunter named Iliana, asks for Aurelie's help rescuing someone from the Underwood.

So cute!
Revisado: 07-26-24
I always love Emma Mills’ books, but this one was cool because it’s so different from the others! I loved the fantasy world and the unique take on how magic works. The voice actor had the perfect voice for the book as well.

Pronunciations changed?
Revisado: 03-20-24
I’m enjoying this series, but I keep noticing pronunciations changing between books. The one that keeps sticking out to me this time is “Paz.” In the last book it was a soft A and in this one it’s a hard A. It’s the same voice actor. Why the change?

So cute and heartwarming!
Revisado: 01-17-24
I was so invested in all the characters and they were so fun to get to know. I loved all the Shakespeare and gaming stuff too. Gideon is such a sweetheart and I LOVE Iris. I really liked the voice actor and the way she made each person distinct without sounding like an impression of someone
