Historia
Romance can be a little complicated when you get sucked into a wormhole. Just ask high school English teacher June Flint. One little solar flare happens and suddenly you find yourself 85 years in the future. Eighty-five years from your dream job. Your ailing mother whose only companion in this world is you. Your favorite stuffed-crust pizza from DeLucia’s on Sunday nights. But when June’s cell phone inexplicably picks up a signal, she’s able to call back to the present—more specifically, four weeks before she accidentally time traveled.

I love Cara Bastone’s books and this was another interesting love story that kept me listening. I love that most of her books are not graphic, but so entertaining and romantic, I totally recommend them to many of my friends! The narrators were excellent as well.

This Psych 312 assignment just might send me off the deep end. Determining whether love at first sight really exists with Robbie Moravian as my project partner of all people? He’s the sappiest man alive, so upbeat I could scream, and clearly rooting for happy endings at every turn. How does he not learn from experience considering our own meet-cute last semester almost got us expelled? But we both need to pass this course to graduate. So we’re interviewing five random couples about their meet-cutes and relationships and spending all this time together. Which is certainly...educational.

What a cute story!
Revisado: 11-30-23
Really enjoyed this listen so much! The cast is great, the story so refreshing and cute, it made me smile and laugh. I’m also delighted when I can listen to a romantic story and not have to turn it off due to language or graphic content! Thank you, Cara! I’m a new fan!

Historia
During a train trip from Chicago to Texas in the late 1940s, A.W. Tozer began to write The Pursuit of God. He wrote all night, and when the train arrived at his destination, the rough draft was done. The depth of this book has made it an enduring favorite.

As relevant today as it was when written!
Revisado: 11-27-22
Wow. I enjoyed this book so much. It has truths in it that are so profound and yet are written in ways that make it simple enough to understand and make you wonder why you didn’t realize it. Are all these truths easy to follow. No. But if you stick through this book it will encourage you in your walk with Christ and leave you wanting more of…HIM!

Practical in nature, Looming Transitions places a strong emphasis on: keeping your soul fertile as you stay grounded in Christ; looking for the lighter moments; learning about yourself; and much more!

Great!
Revisado: 02-17-22
This was just what I was looking for to prepare myself and my family for going overseas! It was such a good resource and felt very personal and not simply a list of what to do. Read at least 6 months prior to the move if possible, otherwise you may find yourself worrying you won’t be able to do things well, or that you could have done better. Thanks to Covid, we got a few more months than expected, which allowed me to use the time wisely with help from this book! :)

Japanese 1
Revisado: 11-21-20
I found this to be a great way to learn basic Japanese. You need to have a half hour put aside every day which might be a bit difficult, but if you are serious about your Japanese this is very doable. One thing I do wish is that there was a little more pause before the native speaker chimes in with the answer. My brain just needed a second or two more to get the answer. I ended up slowing the speed of the whole thing, but then you’re hearing all the words in a slower pattern, which isn’t as helpful and takes more time. Hoping my brain will catch up and I am able to continue on at this pace.
