This was assigned in a book club and I wanted to finish it quickly, so I listened to this book summary. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality writing and narration.

I’ve seen/listened to other summaries that are BAD, but got this one knowing that Audible allows returns for books you’re not satisfied with.

The book itself is a treasure! It was helpful in my journey to minimize my own drinking and feel good about it along the way.

This is my #1 favorite (fiction) audiobook of all time. I love this amazing story. The audio is so great! When I finished the book, I was sad, and missed my friend Pi. I’ve since re-read (listened to) it 4-5 times. In exactly 100 chapters, it really does explain why we choose to believe in God! The movie does zero justice to the book. I mostly read nonfiction, and have tried several fiction books (many I returned and couldn’t finish). With the long lists and writing style, I often listen to the book while drifting off to sleep, but also enjoy it while wide awake. The whole vibe is warm, spiritual, wise, educational, scientific, and has so much heart!! I recommend it to all my friends! Give this book a try!

Debra Lynn Driscoll has written a beautifully honest book about the tragic losses she's been through. I enjoyed every minute of listening to this audiobook, even when I was crying. The story was incredibly engaging and took me on an emotional ride that I felt honored to be on. I'm grateful there is an audiobook because her voice is lovely to listen to and perfectly dramatic. I lost my husband a few years ago, so I am very familiar with grief. I loved Debra's honest, vulnerable, and heart-wrenching account of what it feels like to grieve. And thankfully, she didn't stop there. While grieving is natural and necessary, we're not meant to stay stuck in that feeling forever. A Series of Surrenders also shows what life is like after the dust settles. When the funeral is over, the friends stop bringing over meals, and others stop bringing it up. Then comes the phase of lonely grief, of working it all out within yourself to come to acceptance. Eventually, we must move forward again. Our loved ones wouldn't want us to die with them. This book inspires us to grieve honestly, and also to move forward and continue living! Eventually, our grief dissolves into pure love, which will always be with us. Thank you for this beautiful message!

I’m a Love Coach and refer this to all my clients for a deep, transformative meditation experience. Dabbling with this one will only get you average results, but if you dedicate yourself to practicing this regularly, you will notice yourself changing. Yes, the “in spaaace” thing is kinda funny/weird at first, but give it a chance, and stay for the entire thing (in other words, release your ego mind’s judgement). Enjoy!!
