Historia
You've heard the tale of the Beauty and the Beast before, but not like this. The original French fairy tale written by Madame de Villeneuve relates the tale of a wealthy family plagued by misfortune and of a father who wished to give his beloved daughter, Beauty, the only gift she desired - a rose. But the rose Beauty's father decides to pick for her comes with a great price - a price exacted by the lord of the palace, a Beast of a man!

deceptive description
Revisado: 11-22-22
I got this book because the description said it was unabridged, but it is abridged. I own own a hard copy of the original book and there is quite a bit of the story that was left out in this audible book.

Historia
Little Women itself “has been read as a romance or as a quest, or both. It has been read as a family drama that validates virtue over wealth.” Little Women has been read “as a means of escaping that life by women who knew its gender constraints only too well.” Alcott “combines many conventions of the sentimental novel with crucial ingredients of Romantic children's fiction, creating a new form of which Little Women is a unique model.”

great book but had some frustrating interruptions
Revisado: 04-29-22
I love the books and the narrator did an awesome job, but there were several places in each book which had annoying clicking followed by the previous sentence being repeated or just passages being repeated, both were too frequent and frustrating because they interrupted the flow of the stories.

Historia
"Marley was dead to begin with...." These chillingly familiar words begin the classic Christmas tale of remorse and redemption in A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Now R. William Bennett rewinds the story and focuses the spotlight on Scrooge’s miserly business partner, Jacob T. Marley, who was allowed to return as a ghost to warn Scrooge away from his ill-fated path. Why was Marley allowed to return? And why hadn’t he been given the same chance as Ebenezer Scrooge? Or had he?

In Pride and Prejudice Jane Austen brought together one of the most beloved literary couples of all time - Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy. Now, Mr. Darcy's Decision continues the story of these passion-filled newlyweds as they enter London’s glamorous high society. This pause-resisting novel finds Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy entangled in the frivolity and ferocity of social intrigues.

good book by itself, but not good as a sequel
Revisado: 02-15-21
This book would be fine by itself, but definitely not as a sequel to Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice. It was not written in the same style as Jane Austin. Although the author did try to keep the same style the personalities of some of the characters were not kept true to the original personalities that Jane Austin had given to her characters.

Had Jane Austen lived to complete Sanditon, it would have been as treasured as her other novels. In the half-finished masterpiece, Austen fashions one of her classic heroines: Charlotte Heywood. The surviving fragment also sets the story well on its path as Charlotte begins an adventure to Sanditon where a full cast of characters becomes intertwined in various intrigues.
