Character who couldn’t focus

This has so much potential who doesn’t love dragons!! But it was killed by a plotline that moved like a middle schooler with ADHD. Character only had drama because they couldn’t focus one subject of conversation long enough to resolve the conflict or follow the multitude of clues. Gwen was annoying, I’m strong one moment and then I have to run from everything that doesn’t love me the next. Gwen’s gift is useless so what you can tell what wrong with a person if you can’t figure out how to fix it. Silas was likable but he needed to back up on Gwen and make her come to him because she treated him like crap and was always mad at him for breathing without telling her and just couldn’t admit when she was wrong. I’m skipping Scorchas book because she hasn’t endured herself to me in any of the other books. Hey Scorcha this man is brother, he and you where removed from your parents to protect you, Scorchas response to him is just shitty.
The narrator saved this but she couldn’t save us from hearing “she snorted” 300 times. Is Gwen a damn bull. Nobody is positively described as a person who snorts when they don’t like what someone says , that the characteristics of a judgmental asshole aka Gwen.

I had to fast forward through most of the dialogue between Gwen and Silas. Nothing like the genuine care Luciana had for the Beast despite her fears that he would discover her secrets. Gwen just didn’t show any care for Silas until 90% into the book.

Better than I thought

The story was pretty good, though a bit repetitive and dragged on longer than necessary. I feel asleep while listening for an hour and didn’t have to go back to figure out what was happening.

Narration was ok, but i found the female voices to be whinny and the males sounded like they smoked 3 packs a day.

Good word building.

Annoying heroine

DNF, I couldn’t get through this story. Maybe reading it might have made it better, because listening to Eden might have made it worse. Not sure why the author doesn’t develop this character better despite being aware of the characters flaws. Eden is self-absorbed, stubborn, judgmental, and stupid. All these other characters come in and you’d think that maybe Eden will learn something or grow from them but she doesn’t.
The lack of development from the main character that I am stuck listening to since this is 1st person narration was too much and I quit!

I just can’t with this female heroine. What the hell is it with these “feminist” writer making women strong by having them stubborn to the point of stupid. It make the book unbelievable and unenjoyable. Why couldn’t Luna have been a strong intelligent women that used her cunning and ingenuity to bring a man to his knees. Nooooo we have to be defiant and constantly have a monologue about how we will not be dominated in order to “strong.”
This story was just too full of contradictions for me. Found myself too damn frustrated with a heroine who would rather starve for a dumb ass principle that won’t help anyone, than start trying to figure out how she can help them. Note to author a strong person male or female is not stubborn, but determined.

The same ole thang

This could have been good, except it wasn’t. The characters are not really likable and it just seems like no one is learning. Not the others, not the humans. The same bad things keep happening and I can’t understand why the others keep trying to appease unreasonable humans. The storyline in this is just weak in
comparison to the Meg stories, it feels like we are desperately trying to keep this world alive with weak storylines and characters.

There is not one thing in this book that makes sense. Insta love, brave to the point of stupid h whose situation just keeps getting worse.

Strange

I actually had to laugh in few places. There is some seriously dark content in this book, but man these characters and their abilities (despite being human) are ridiculous. I don’t really like MC books, just not into the passing around of women, but I decided to give this one a try because I like a lot of Feehans work. Anya was annoying, I just couldn’t bring myself to like the girl, some people say she went from strong to a doormat I would say she was just never a coherent or consistent character to start with. She goes from one extreme to another in my opinion and despite all her “kindness and understanding” she really isn’t either without a whole lot of talking her out of running away before “she softens”. The whole group of MC’s just have a crazy ass backstory that read like some dark anime.

Good read no purpose

I felt this could have been a novella. It just didn’t have the meat and bones of the original books to be a part of the series. I felt a bit let down and was hoping for more. These people really felt like they should have been part of a larger story told within.

The writing was good, but coming of the Meg books was a let down for me. Audiobook was performed great.
