Now, Ridley channels that loss into hope, traveling the country covering cold cases for her true crime podcast. Just okay…
Revisado: 05-01-25
Lacked details, I felt like the whole storyline was lacking. It was like an overview or a summary just skimming the surface. There were so many loose ends. Character development was shallow also. I thought the premise was a good idea and could have been good but the story was literally missing all the important pieces. Also, the love scenes were cringe. Just seemed so unauthentic or unreal.

Historia
Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

Pretty sad story
Revisado: 04-09-25
Mostly sad story with a few happy parts sprinkled in. I loved the character of Beckett, loved the twins, but had a hard time with Ella. A lot of her dialogue was hard to get through especially when she was begging for Beckett to be with her romantically, also she would say she didn’t like liars but then would lie herself- she would say one thing then do the opposite. I did feel the author is an amazing writer, I liked the setup and the way the author told the story… I just didn’t love the storyline, it was way too sad for me.

Ugh…
Revisado: 02-25-25
Disappointing. Not enough was explained, a lot of unanswered questions were left. I like more complete answers. I felt like the main characters were interesting and could see myself wanting to hear more about them, but they were not developed enough. I didn’t leave the book feeling satisfied. I couldn’t stand the narrator too.

Really loved it, yet have some unanswered questions
Revisado: 12-06-24
I loved this book, I loved the narrator and I definitely loved the twists and turns. The very ending left me with questions, I wish there was more to the end and/or a sequel. Also, the author left many things unanswered. I do wish more of the details were wrapped up in the end.

Historia
With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

Is it over yet?? Painfully boring book….
Revisado: 10-23-24
Boring, filled with mundane details, not much action at all. I had a hard time continuing listening to this. The narrator was good, the storyline was not. Isabelle’s character had no self control and I couldn’t stand her character, and I found myself wanting to skip every chapter that was about her. This whole story could have fit in half the chapters, it was like watching paint dry listening to details about nothing important to the story.
