Definitely worth the listen

Although for my first listen, it felt like this book started a little slow, it quickly became quite informative and interesting. Jonah is such a rich book, and these short, accessible lectures are an excellent supplement as one studies it - facilitating contemplation of the multiple layers of meaning.

This is an excellent narration of the newly revised, beautiful, highly readable NASB 2020. I am grateful that each track/chapter is clearly labeled so that it is easy to find any chapter in any book.

I strongly recommend this powerful rendition of the New American Bible Revised Edition! Ron Dailey’s narration is like having it read directly to you in person, in either a private or congregational setting. It allows for prayerful contemplation of this wonderful translation of the NT and Psalms. I like the deliberate pace but, if desired, this narration also sounds very good at increased speeds.

Beautifully and deliberately read

This reading of the Gospel of Mark is moving and majestic. Because this is the King James translation, I am grateful for the more deliberate (slightly slower) pace of the narration as it gives more time to absorb and appreciate the text.

Whether you read the KJV or not, the ultimate topic of this short book is accessibly of English translations of the Bible. I found the discussion and arguments given to be informative, inspiring, thought-provoking, and entertaining.

Excellent concise coverage of Paul’s life and letters!

This short and accessible book is an honest, thought-provoking, and inspiring discussion of Paul’s life and letters. It uses information gleaned from historical methods but the author clearly likes and admires Paul without being infatuated by him. In my view, Karen Armstrong does a wonderful job of separating information from disinformation involving Paul’s life and beliefs. I found it an excellent complement to rereading Paul’s letters after each was covered in the book.
