Historia
In the greatest intelligence operation in the history of the world, Donald Trump was made president of the United States with the assistance of a foreign power. For the first time, The Plot to Destroy Democracy reveals the dramatic story of how blackmail, espionage, assassination, and psychological warfare were used by Vladimir Putin and his spy agencies to steal the 2016 US election. It will show how Russia and its fifth column allies tried to flip the cornerstones of democracy in order to reengineer the world political order that kept most of the world free since since 1945.

Great way to understand current events.

Even if you believe in President Trump's actions and agenda, you should read/listen to this book. You will at least see the big picture of what's happening worldwide and clearly see the dangers we are confronting.
Then you could make an imformed decision on what, who and, why you would believe any information from all media sources.

Historia
"While the history books are filled with tales of obsessive visionary geniuses who remade the world in their images with sheer, almost irrational force, I've found that history is also made by individuals who fought their egos at every turn, who eschewed the spotlight, and who put their higher goals above their desire for recognition." Vital knowledge to all US Citizens
Revisado: 06-26-16
I have read and listened to a lot of Friedman's writings, lectures and interviews. The forecasts and principles in this book are explained clearly and simply enough for anyone of average capacity to understand.
This book is of particular importance to VOTERS TRYING TO CHOOSE CANDIDATES as it presents what we the people should identify in a candidate even when they are lying.
I strongly believe that if a higher percentage of the public would comprehend these principles, all nations would be better prepared to help politicians do the important work and it would greatly balance the current confusion in media that has brought us to this point.
I'm giving this book to my 2 daughters as required reading. So should you.

Historia
Nobody knew where it came from. Nobody knew why it came. When an eight-foot-tall man made of stone appears in the middle of a busy city center one July afternoon, two-bit (and antisocial) reporter Andy Pointer assumes it's just a publicity stunt. Indeed, so does everyone else...until the Stone Man begins to walk, heading silently through the wall of the nearest building, flattening it, and killing several people inside as a result.

Original, entertaining and well performed.

This story would make a very cool movie. The ending is very surprising. I gave the story 4 stars because to my taste the protagonist took too much time describing his inner thoughts in extreme detail, but that is just me living in a hurry to get to the conclusion of things. The narrator, Matt Addis is so good at it that you get transported into a movie like experience.
I enjoyed this a lot! Keep at it Luke.

Historia
A major new collection from "arguably the most important intellectual alive" ( The New York Times). Noam Chomsky is universally accepted as one of the preeminent public intellectuals of the modern era. Over the past thirty years, broadly diverse audiences have gathered to attend his sold-out lectures. Now, in Understanding Power, Peter Mitchell and John Schoeffel have assembled the best of Chomsky's recent talks on the past, present, and future of the politics of power.

I'm not what you would consider a member of the left, actually I'm a capitalist entrepreneur. But the ideas and concepts in this book are universal, fundamental and are necesary if you wish to understand how the modern world works and the true forces tha shape our lives.ostl6, if you want to make a change for thr better it's necesary to understand what change looks like in the long timeframes we humans need to make real lasting change.
I don't agree with some of the ideas he presents but they are microscopic and of little importance in comparison to the scope of the information in this book, but that's just an opinion.
The best thing is to read this now, almost 30 years later. Chomsky got most of it right as you will learn if you listen to this completely. he basically predicts our current state.
By the way, I have had this book for 10 years in print and never had made the time to read. so yeah, thanks Audible.
