The story and writing kept me interested. But, the reader used an inflection that was more suited to children’s books, or humor. The subject matter was serious. His tone was not.

Very uneven collection with some gems (see below)

Any additional comments?
While the stories and performances in this collection were interesting and engaging, the editor's interference was annoying. The detailed introduction was appreciated. However, the editor then goes on to preface each story with a lengthy adoration of the author(s) and their works. And then does the same after each story. I found this to interrupt the flow of the narrative and instead of allowing me to enjoy each story for itself, make me feel as if I were enduring a sales pitch for a time-share condo. It detracted from the authors' works instead of adding.
