Historia
When Brian Holloway (Jack Quaid, The Boys) was hired by famous horror author Paul Robinette (Titus Welliver, Bosch) to crack an antique safe in his home, he had no idea what he was about to encounter. Opening that safe door unleashed something sinister — something that continues to haunt him. But what exactly? And can whatever slipped through that threshold be stopped?

Quick listen
Revisado: 10-16-23
I enjoyed the voice actors and the story was pretty decent for the shortness. Didn’t spend a credit on it so it was worth the free listen in my opinion

Historia
Bailey is a young, aspiring actress that has never had a real acting job besides a role in a high school play. But when she sees an ad for a production that takes place in 1954, she decides to take a chance. The only thing she knows is that it is fully immersive, and would require her to live in the fictional town for one full year. The rules are simple, stay in character and she gets a nice payout of more than one hundred thousand dollars. But would a black woman willingly live in the 50s?

Dragged out love story.
Revisado: 08-05-23
So I went in thinking this book was going to go one way based on the description and it went totally left field. I did like most of the characters and when they actually did touch on the racial issues of the 50’s I found it engaging. Overall the relationship between Bailey and Bobby was just a bit too much for me and felt dragged out -but that may also be that I don’t generally care for love stories, especially far fetched ones.

Carnies Beware!
Revisado: 06-16-23
This was such a fun book. I’ve actually listened to it 3 times because it’s easy to listen to (highly enjoyed the narration) and the story flows. Would have liked to have heard more about some of the other carnivals but overall it’s a fun listen in a short amount of time.

For centuries, the vineyards at Château Renard have depended on the talent of their vine witches, whose spells help create the world-renowned wine of the Chanceaux Valley. Now, after breaking the spell that confined her to the shallows of a marshland and weakened her magic, Elena is struggling to return to her former life. And the vineyard she was destined to inherit is now in the possession of a handsome stranger.

a wishes journey
Revisado: 08-09-22
I loved the balance of supernatural and the love of wine. the author set the atmosphere perfectly to compliment the story and engage the listener into its wonder. love the character development as wectraveled through the emotional turmoil. the ending was both expected and surprising. finishing in a good balance of satisfying but not to cliché.
