Historia
At sixteen, when Peri Sanguis's wild magic first appeared, she was forced to flee her Wyoming ranch—and her suddenly murderous family—to save her own life. On the East Coast, tutored by mages who run the Witch's Brew bookstore-cafe, Peri's world seems magically tranquil—until her estranged mother and a coven of witches are slaughtered. Now, to solve the violent mysteries of her past, she must put her trust, body and soul, in a sensual immortal who is every woman's darkest fantasy.

Meh
Revisado: 01-09-24
The story was mediocre. I didn’t care for the narration at all. The voice of Valen was irritating slow and so similar to other characters it detracted from the story.

Historia
Sparrow “Ro” Meadowcroft is about to get the promotion she’s always dreamed of–curator of the museum where she works. She loves old things and the history that surrounds them, so when a patron leaves some items to the museum, Ro is eager to dig in. The sword in the stone that comes with those items is clearly a joke. A well-made but obvious replica meant to be a conversation starter. Why anyone would think that belonged in the museum is beyond her, but she can’t resist taking a crack at it and finding out if she’s the chosen one. And as it turns out...she is.

Slow read
Revisado: 10-19-22
The story was fair although a bit slow for my taste. The narration was as expected as this narrator reads several of her books.

Historia
Charlotte McBee knows she’s in for a challenge when she accepts a job as midwife for a dragon and a phoenix shifter. Being a fairy herself, it isn’t the supernatural world that scares her. It’s the thought of delivering a giant metal dragon’s egg, which has her gritting her teeth in pain for poor Jillian, the anxious mother-to-be. While preparing for the big event, a handsome town resident catches her eye. Leonard is kind, charming, and a little bit mysterious. He’s also suffering from a highly unusual condition brought on by an ancient fairy curse.

Another Good One
Revisado: 12-12-20
I love Molly Harper books. They are light, entertaining and always hold my interest. The Mystic Bayou series always has me wondering what is next. The narration is top notch.

Historia
As an FBI profiler, it's Lilah Love's job to think like a killer. And she is very good at her job. When a series of murders surface - the victims all stripped naked and shot in the head - Lilah's instincts tell her it's the work of an assassin, not a serial killer. But when the case takes her back to her hometown in the Hamptons and a mysterious but unmistakable connection to her own life, all her assumptions are shaken to the core.

Narrator makes a difference.
Revisado: 04-13-19
I tried to get into the story however could not because of the narration. The narrator read little too fast and had very little voice inflection. When she attempted to do the voice of the boyfriend, she made him sound like he was mentally challenged. Stopped after chapter 1.
