Historia
You may be surprised to learn that microchips are the new oil—the scarce resource on which the modern world depends. Today, military, economic, and geopolitical power are built on a foundation of computer chips. Virtually everything—from missiles to microwaves—runs on chips, including cars, smartphones, the stock market, even the electric grid. Until recently, America designed and built the fastest chips and maintained its lead as the #1 superpower, but America’s edge is in danger of slipping, undermined by players in Taiwan, Korea, and Europe taking over manufacturing.

Historia
In Putin's People, former Moscow correspondent and investigative journalist Catherine Belton tells the untold story of the rise of Vladimir Putin and the small group of KGB men surrounding him. Delving deep into the workings of Putin's Kremlin, Belton accesses key inside players to reveal how Putin replaced the free-wheeling tycoons of the Yeltsin era with a new generation of loyal oligarchs who in turn subverted their country's economy and legal system and expanded its influence in the West.

Very nice book. Describes the “unique Russian path” that our president steered Russia towards. Assuming it’s true, of course.

If you in sales industry - go for it. Otherwise - pick another book. A lot of useless personal experience.

Historia
Amoral, cunning, ruthless, and instructive, this piercing work distills 3,000 years of the history of power into 48 well-explicated laws. This bold volume outlines the laws of power in their unvarnished essence, synthesizing the philosophies of Machiavelli, Sun Tzu, Carl von Clausewitz, and other infamous strategists. The 48 Laws of Power will fascinate any listener interested in gaining, observing, or defending against ultimate control.

Useless? Interesting though...
Revisado: 05-21-20
Pros:
This book gives very interesting stories from the past to back up the so-called rules of power. The stories, like how Chinese conquer conquer each other or how famous scammers from the time before Christ and 19 century, the stories are fascinating.
Cons:
My opinion is that these rules are more applicable for the past time, when the power of paradigm around the world was very different. As many can know, both world wars changed politics a lot, changed countries attitudes towards cooperation and the notion that everyone can actually benefit without others losing things. This book does not consider this.
I myself do not live in the power struggle environment, be that the Kremlin, White House or a large corporation. So I may be biased. But if you want to hear great stories about people who did great things, even if those things are bad. This book is for you.

Historia
One of the 20th century's most challenging novels of ideas, The Fountainhead champions the cause of individualism through the story of a gifted young architect who defies the tyranny of conventional public opinion. The struggle for personal integrity in a world that values conformity above creativity is powerfully illustrated through three characters: Howard Roarke, a genius; Gail Wynand, a newspaper mogul and self-made millionaire; and Dominique Francon, a devastating beauty.

Good!
Revisado: 12-14-17
2017, but still very relevant, precautious. It reflects some modern thinking, especially related to left/right politics.
Characters are complex, yet clear and relatable. The story is interesting to follow and unpredictable.
The idea of this book is very motivational and just simply good.

Historia
George Orwell depicts a gray, totalitarian world dominated by Big Brother and its vast network of agents, including the Thought Police - a world in which news is manufactured according to the authorities' will and people live tepid lives by rote. Winston Smith, a hero with no heroic qualities, longs only for truth and decency. But living in a social system in which privacy does not exist and where those with unorthodox ideas are brainwashed or put to death, he knows there is no hope for him.
