Historia
As a member of a New York Mafia family, Levi Yoder's role is unique: He's a fixer, a solver of problems, a man whose code puts loyalty above all else, yet he's a man with a conscience. In the Inside Man, Levi's search for the kidnapped grandchild of a Japanese mob boss plunges him into a world filled with chaos. When he's falsely accused of a heinous series of crimes, the FBI makes Levi an offer he can't refuse: use his mob connections to help investigate the murders of several undercover agents or find himself in jail awaiting trial, without a way to clear his name.

Levi is so entertaining
Revisado: 03-23-25
I found this author over social media and was attracted to his posts because he gives a different and perhaps not always "politically correct" perspective. Curious about the poster, I started to listen to his books just to sort of "suss him out" This is the second book I have listened to an I am hooked! As soon as I finish this review I will start book 3 in the series!! Mr Rothman is an excellent storyteller!

Historia
1399: Constance of York, Lady Despenser, proves herself more than a mere observer in the devious intrigues of her magnificently dysfunctional family, the House of York. Surrounded by power-hungry men, including her aggressively self-centred husband, Thomas, and ruthless siblings, Edward and Richard, Constance places herself at the heart of two treasonous plots against King Henry IV. Will it be possible for this Plantagenet family to safeguard its own political power by restoring either King Richard II to the throne, or the precarious Mortimer claimant?

Painfully Boring
Revisado: 05-10-24
I forced myself to finish this book. It is easily one of the worst stories I have ever listened to. The story droned on about a character who was so unlikable. I can't imawho would find this book interesting. Avoid!

I have to say that this is NOT my usual genre but it was adjacent enough to my usual historical fiction that I decided to give it a try. 1. The stories are really good and the main character is very likable- enough to get me to listen to all 4 of the series! 2. Peter Noble is a magnificent reader- he could probably make the phone book interesting 3. The level of historical detail is spot on without being too heavy! Mr Cameron, I will be starting another one of your series ASAP!

Soooooooo Looooooooonnnnnngggg
Revisado: 11-26-21
Don't get me wrong, had the story been captivating, i wouldn't have minded. The description of the book says it is about following families through a very long period of time, however, it spends so much time on very boring parts of history and then rushes through everything after 1800.
The readers voice is a bit annoying but no one could make this book better. This guy is NOT Ken Follett.
