Historia
For Manannán mac Lir, a musician and Celtic demigod, life had become a blur of post-gig parties, expensive whisky, and cheap sex. And then the baby almost died--a baby he had sworn to protect. On the hunt for the would-be killer, Mac finds Artemis Black, a stunningly dangerous woman who's inexplicably able to intertwine life magic with death magic. For the safety of his people, he should destroy her. But the aching vulnerability in her eyes calls to him.

it had to end sometime
Revisado: 09-20-12
I loved this series completely, but unfortunately now the 5 immortal brothers have found their mates and defeated the 'old one', perhaps the winning streak is over.. Mac was a great character, and the plot works, but I never warmed to the female love interest. I kept waiting for her to redeem herself but it never happened. Not a bad book just never had the heat and spark of the previous five books.

If you could sum up A Fool and His Honey in three words, what would they be?
perplexing amusing mystery
What did you like best about this story?
great plot that kept me guessing and great characters with witty dialogue
Any additional comments?
please reply to this message, I reached the end of chapter 9 and the story ends abruptly just before the climax in a way that cannot possibly be intentional, I really want to hear the end of this story.

slight glitch
Revisado: 06-24-11
i really enjoyed this audiobook, anf found the story very intriguing and well read. However in between chapters 5 and 6 there is a change in reader and a story about ninjas an D&D. I kept listening because the story itself goes back and forth in time and different characters so I thought mabe this was a new element, but it was too weird, and thankfully it went back to 'The Bone Garden'. This aside I highly reccommend this audiobook.

confusing without the back story
Revisado: 09-19-10
I did enjoy this, as do all the Dalziel & Pascoe novels, but here it feels like the sequel to a storyline I haven't read, something about an unresolved serial killer (?), and the previous book of the series is unavailable from audible.

Historia
Poirot had been present when Jane bragged of her plan to "get rid of" her estranged husband. Now the monstrous man was dead. And yet the great Belgian detective couldn't help feeling he was being taken for a ride. After all, how could Jane have stabbed Lord Edgware to death in his library at exactly the same time she was seen dining with friends? And what could be her motive now that the aristocrat had finally granted her a divorce?

classic poirot twists and turns
Revisado: 05-26-10
Hugh Fraser reads beautifully and this story is classic Agatha Christie with lots of red herrings and twists and turns. My one comment to audible.com is that around the 2.5 hour mark there was about 10 seconds of technical glitchery in which every second syllable was garbled.
Otherwise really really great.
