Historia
Herein lies a raw exploration of duality, darkness, and desire. A collection of sonnets, haikus, and free verse that brings to the surface our fractured pieces and celebrates how the light and the dark blend to make us whole. An invitation to embrace the shadow and give it its rightful place as a part of the self.

Ode to Weeds or an Ode to me…
Revisado: 11-06-24
You are never truly alone but exponentially un-alone.
Fight the good fight, choose to survive, thrive, and live in the midst of those who would rather see you removed from the very thing you were born into.
Joe has done it again! Hitting the deepest parts of the soul and mind. Opening the door of real raw emotion. The finding of lost hope and the freeing of love. May we choose to embrace life!

Historia
Meghan, Brecia, and Skye have just one thing in common. They were all murdered by the same man. He hunted them online, masquerading as an eligible bachelor. Then he played the perfect gentleman, a thick layer of charm and a thousand-watt smile hiding the fact that his first dates end in shallow graves. He’s gotten away with murder three times now. The only thing that might keep him from killing again? The women he murdered. Meghan, Brecia, and Skye might be dead, but they’re not gone. They’ve found each other. And they won’t rest until they find a way to stop him. The haunt is on.

Like listening to a real story
Revisado: 02-16-24
I enjoyed the perspective of death in this book. The outlook of what life in death may look like alongside the hope to be reunited with loved ones.
This book had me holding my breath, crossing my fingers, and full of gratitude. I felt like I was in someone’s real story, their experience and it was heartbreaking and blood pressure rising.

Briggs: Remember when we parted ways in Germany? It was the day I broke your heart. What you didn't know was that I was breaking mine too. I thought they'd be enough - my husband and my son. That I'd get home and everything would go back to the way it was...before the war. Before the ambush. Before you. But, no matter how hard I try, I can't erase the trauma we shared. I can't seem to forget the way my heart beat in time with yours. I thought the nightmare was over when they pulled us from that hole in the ground, but nothing could have prepared me for the war I'd face at home.

Puts things in perspective
Revisado: 10-13-23
I was not expecting this book to change my heart or mind towards the concept of letting someone go.
This is a powerful description of what it takes to truly love someone, to try, to morn, to grow and learn.
I cried, laughed, and cried some more! I would recommend this to anyone with a curiosity of what happens to humans who are traumatized - how hard it is to find yourself again, to decide to live.

Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Revisado: 07-21-23
Heart stopping, gut wrenching, full of love and loss.
Fourth Wing is the most stunning fantasy book I’ve read/listened to in a long time! It felt predictable but quickly became a mystery around every corner!!
I cannot wait for book 2!
The narrator was not bad, if you can get past the strange breathing when changing voices, one should be fine! Regardless it was beautiful!

Historia
I've got everything it takes to make it in Tinseltown: confidence, charisma, and a killer chin. Now all I need is a chance. But Los Angeles is full of hot young hunks, and talent might not be enough to separate me from the cookie-cutter crowd. So I devise a wild scheme to get noticed. Pretend I’m someone I'm not—good-bye Will O’Connell of Cincinnati and hello Liam O’Connell of Dublin. "Liam" and his talent with accents is enough to get my foot in the door, but I never anticipated meeting the woman who has me more worried about keeping my foot out of my mouth.

Most relatable story I’ve read in a long time
Revisado: 06-23-23
The Chameleon Effect by Joe Arden is a spectacular, heart warming, giddy girl feeling, kinda read.
The story for me was very relatable - wanting to achieve a dream, making that a reality. Then suddenly like love does - when you’re least expecting it - they walk into your life.
To be true to you and to your person is such a real life dilemma. Not wanting to lose yourself but willing to give all of yourself for your person.
The relationships with Wills friends and family is one most people long for in the real world. So may great takeaways to be able to apply to one’s real life.
10/10 and of course because it’s what we desire - the romance and spice is great! “Fuuuuuuuccckkk”

Historia
No one survived the last battle unscathed. Flint is angry at the world, Jaxon is turning into something I don't recognize, and Hudson has put up a wall I'm not sure I'll ever break through. Now war is coming, and we're not ready. We're going to need an army to have any hope of winning. But first, there are questions about my ancestors that need answers. Answers that might just reveal who the real monster is among us. And that's saying something in a world filled with bloodthirsty vampires, immortal gargoyles, and an ancient battle between two gods.

Revisado: 02-08-23
I knew I loved the the book series, after I got through crave (not my favorite). But this book had me smiling while on the train to work, laughing at my desk, and full of joy. Remmy is such a great add, when I showed up, I was so excited and happy!!
I was sad, super sad at the sudden name pronunciation half way through.
