Historia
Maximilian is the last of the noble Valevsky lineage. His entire family was put to death for an alleged attempt on the powerful Duke of Odoevsky, who had his eye set on the Valevsky's land. The young man managed to avoid execution, but not punishment. From here on out, he's condemned to life as a doomed soldier. The front line in the fight against the dark god Skron's mutated creatures. "Do or die"—that's the doomer motto that has been drilled into the last of the Valevsky's head. The Duke took everything from him but his honor and a thirst for revenge.

Beat down
Revisado: 09-15-23
The constant beat down of the MC wore me out. I don’t recommend this book as it is relentless in its unfairness and forces you to accept that.

Historia
In a former life, Jack was gifted, meaning he possessed peculiar abilities. If rich folks found themselves in a jam, Jack could use his talents to get them out of it. Where others were sure to fail, Jack's aristocratic clientele could always count on him to finish jobs cleanly, efficiently, and leave no trace, for which his services commanded a hefty fee. But one day, Jack picked a fight with the wrong man and his old life came to an end. But, as it turned out, his story was far from over.

Exciting. Read this book!
Revisado: 07-23-23
This is a great book. Finally a MC who doesn’t make bad decisions. I enjoyed the twists and turns. Not only is it filled with action this clever fox is politically savvy in his dealings with all the schemers both female and male. To the writer I say “Thank you for this book”!

Whiny book
Revisado: 04-17-23
In truth I did not read all of it. The whiny main character who constantly goes on and on being a victim caused me to stop in chapter 5. It’s terrible.

Long and repetitive
Revisado: 04-10-22
The first third of the book was good. Then there is way to much repetitive chapters of whining and complaining. Every battle is drawn out and every victory is a last ditch effort or lucky turn. I found it exhausting and barely made it to the end. Edit your book better next time.
