Amazing book!
Revisado: 01-06-17
God's power is incredible!! It is amazing what God can do if we let him use us! This book inspires me to live like God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit matter everyday instead of being complacent. I hope our prosperity in this great country doesn't kill us. I hope we, as Christians, aren't slipping into a spiritual coma because life is so easy. This is a must read for every Christian!

Historia
Churches and individual Christians typically have faulty assumptions about the causes of poverty, resulting in the use of strategies that do considerable harm to poor people and themselves. When Helping Hurts provides foundational concepts, clearly articulated general principles and relevant applications. The result is an effective and holistic ministry to the poor, not a truncated gospel.

Excellent
Revisado: 09-28-16
The main idea is helping the poor help themselves instead of just giving them things over and over and wondering why they're not changing. We need to start thinking in terms of relationships instead of just trying to fix things and move on to the next problem. There is so much incredible information in this book that I've never thought about. I think every believer should read it because so many churches are hurting the poor without meaning to. I don't agree with everything written but I do agree with most of the information.
