Love the story, but not the reader
Revisado: 04-18-25
It’s so important to have the right reader for your book. I thought we needed a more sexy male voice. There was these brothers that you know where the bomb and then they became even better and the voice that they had read did not portray that.

Great story line with a terrible ending!
Revisado: 02-03-25
I feel that books have lost their luster in terms of those who write them they believe that as readers, we don’t know the difference between a good storyline and a good ending they believe that we’re so stupid that if they just make it for so many hours, and they write a good summary that we’ll just buy their books or that the fact that they have maybe 7 to 10 books that they’ve written in the past this book was trash it made you go through the entire storyline only to be left hanging the author should be ashamed of herself. It’s not a cliffhanger that it just built up the suspense. This was a whole family problem that she just left unresolved I’ll be putting her on my don’t even bother to check out her book list.

The mispronunciation is crazy
Sorry I’m checking out on the books that use virtual voice it just doesn’t belong with African American stories!!!!!

Wow! The way the book was read distracted from the story
Revisado: 05-03-24
Authors should listen to their books before they allow audible to put them out. This read was as bad as the new computer read books. I refuse to buy them they are horrible. The pauses in between on this one has me irritated through out the read.

Historia
**FULL STANDALONE** At the age of thirteen, Jezebel had the looks of a melanin angel and the body of a goddess. With peanut-butter tan skin, honey-brown eyes, and a thick mane of hair, Jezebel was the spitting image of her mother, Josephine… or Josie the Pussycat was what they called her. Josephine was the epitome of beauty, body, and brains and every man’s fantasy. With the reputation of the friendly neighborhood hoe, she had no shame in her game. Her child was fed and clothed, and she was able to provide a roof over her head without government assistance. What was there to be ashamed ...

This was terrible!
Revisado: 03-03-24
Let’s start with the virtual voice it was horrible. The author should listen to their book to see how the virtual voice tore up the pronunciation of certain words it took away from the story. Not to mention the ending sucked. It’s like the author just cut it off mid thought and said the end very disappointing.

I really liked this story but…
Revisado: 01-04-24
The ending was rushed and almost as if he said I only have so many pages left so let’s get this over
I didn’t like he didn’t follow up about Venettas story line but she shows up and kills ole boy …makes sense but how did we get there story line not developed
We of course we wanted Matthew to really love her but we wanted to know how things worked out with his parents specifically
I thought the ending was poorly written but I loved the story otherwise

I’m sorry I didn’t agree
Revisado: 10-27-23
I’m sorry I didn’t agree with the other reviews. I purchased the second book even though I believe the first book left off a little unfinished but I thought maybe they’ll make it up in book 2 I felt like they took a whole story and chopped it into pieces to see how many bucks they could sell from it because honestly book one in book 2 was a whole story and it wasn’t that would’ve been the only way that it would’ve been finished for me, but book 2 was not finished and the way it left off, only made me angry, and refused to buy book 3
