A good quick novel

Not a lot of thinking on this quick novel, almost half way into the story I had my suspicions about the main character. Kept me interested and engaged.
I liked it. Spooky ending.

For a book written in the late 50s the imagination and investigation is outstanding.
It could certainly be used as a quick manual for preppers. After living for so long in a costal area I consider myself very experienced and prepared for hurricanes and eventualities like such for short term emergencies but this makes you seriously think way further than a couple weeks.
I liked the narration, definitely a great story teller, with the voice tones, accents and emphasis where needed yet calm and smooth when the line required it.
Very happy to have come across this novel.

Good audio for a weekend trip

History is great for us that like action, suspense and that sort of thing, nothing to think just listen and laugh. I'm sorry but the performance was not something I liked, I listened for the story but the narration almost threw me off. I respect Mr Kenerly but I don't follows his tone. Off to book 2

Good opening, excellent story great ending.

Normally I have to make notes when there are so many characters on stories, this was ever so easy to follow as the characters all were important enough that I remember them all... Sorry, not a great memory of mine. From the beginning I got so immerse in the story it was hard to stop listening so I jumped from the computer to the phone to the car and in a weekend it was done.
The story has quite a few turns and packed with action that made it easy for me to listen and keep up with it.
Great ending, it also has a little twist that thus I saw coming I was not expecting it. Doesn't look like there will be a 2nd act.

Few reads of Lorenzo C but now I'm a fan

Its a good book, never had to go back to understand the story like some other authors that make it too complicated going back in time and then actual so often that I loose concentration and get bored. The language is perfect, not too much foul or dirty but with enough to get the point.
Easy listening, got through it in about a weekend while working on house chores.
Looking forward to more of his work.
