This would be a great listen for a long road trip with a mixed audience. Mike does a great job of time wonderful stories that will broaden your knowledge of history and understanding of the world.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I've been a huge fan of all of Mitch's adventures until now! The reader was so bad that by 1 hour in I turned it off and ordered the book from Amazon. I couldn't stand it anymore. As any veteran of audio books with testify the READER can make or break a book. I've downloaded hundreds of books over the last 8 years and I should have known better when I saw that the reader wasn't George Guidall who does most of the series. Save your money here and buy the paper copy if you see it isn't George reading.
How could the performance have been better?

You will come away with a better realization of how lucky we are, even blessed, to live in a country where brave men have always risen to the threat against our families, country, and liberty! Marcus makes my heart swell with pride in the american defined attribute of uncommon courage by common americans. I am so greatful for the sacrafice that so many have made that freedom may ring through out this land.

An interesting look into Foreign relations. Interesting how the USA knew where Pablo Escobar was at but the Colombian Authorities where unable to apprehend him. I have done my own research and one of the final theories on Pablo's death is absolutely correct. You will have to read to understand.

Don't waste your time

The reader isn't very good and the book is a cry baby's whining. I love these people who sign up for the benefits of the military (education, leadership training, discipline, and of course adventure and then are angry when they have to fulfill the main mission of the military, Defend and Fight for the USA. This is a poorly written and worthless book. It will go the way of obscurity as all bad books do even with Hollywood behind it.

Littell does it again

The first Robert Littell book I read was the Company which is a spectacular book. I read some of his other books afterwards and they were good but not like the company. Legends is AWESOME! It is as good if not bette than the Company. Great story with twists and turns. Finished it in 3 days and wished it wasn't over, which to me is a sign of a GREAT book.

Action, Violence, Friendship, Life, Adulthood, and even some love but in a way a guy can understand and relate to. I mean a real man not some girly man. If you want a great book this is one to buy.
