Historia
In this thrilling history, David Baker captures the longest possible time span—from the Big Bang to the present day—in an astonishingly concise retelling. His impressive timeline includes the "rise of complexity" in the cosmos and the creation of the first atoms; the origin of all galaxies, stars, and our solar system; and the evolution of life on Earth, from tiny single-celled organisms to human beings.

The writing was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the picture that was painted. However, to enjoy the picture being painted. I needed to run it at 1.5x speed. The narrator would take long pauses inbetween words. Even at 1.5 speed it still felt like there were still 2 seconds pauses between words and sentences. If you're a fan of the Bill Shatner dramatic pause, you'll enjoy the narration.

Historia
It’s been 20 years since 9/11, two decades since the United States was attacked on home soil and set out to make the guilty pay with their lives. In the shadows, the enemy has been patient - learning, and adapting. And the enemy is ready to strike again. A new president offers hope to a country weary of conflict. He’s a young, popular, self-made visionary…but he’s also a man with a secret.

I stopped after Chapter 19.

I've listened to Jack's last 3 books and enjoyed them thoroughly. Ray Porter is an excellent Narrator. Jack is entitled to his opinions when it comes to politics, but I want an escape from reality when listening to a story. Not conspiracy theories and talking points that we've had crammed down our throats for the last 5 years. If I wanted to listen to political talking points, I'll turn on the news.
