It’s Valentine’s Day weekend, and Charlotte and Seth are not looking for romance. Armed with emotional-support bear spray, Charlotte is in self-imposed isolation and on guard from men. Having a stalker can do that to a person’s nerves. Just across the hall and giving off woodsy vibes is Seth, a recently divorced arborist. As in today recently. Heights, he’s fine with. Trust? Not so much.

This felt like falling in love

A sweet story with a strong underlying story. I love everything Abby writes, but this one just felt like a breath of fresh air for some reason. Allowing the two leads to get isolated time to slowly and safely get to know each other just felt like you were there falling in love too.
The end was a bit rushed and I would love a full story for Izzy and Gabe, but I will definitely read this one over and over whenever I need a literary hug.

OK, fine. I’ll confess. While my house was being robbed, I was in the shower indulging my favorite Brad Pitt fantasy (the one with the Troy costume and the handcuffs). But where is the justice in the world when the first cop on the scene is the former bully next door? How dare that arrogant jerk grow up to be six-foot-three inches of solid muscle with gorgeous blue eyes! I can’t stop thinking about him. Or his handcuffs. Or his dirty mouth. Or the way he still likes to boss me around these days, only with a lot less clothing.

None of the characters were likable

Decent story - horrible narrator-racist depictions

I'm not a huge fan of this series, but my daughter loves them. The stories are a nice introduction to greek mythology with enough action to keep it exciting.
The voice actor is horrendous. His characterization of people of different cultures is appalling. I made it thru the last 2 books slightly cringing, but in this book he voices a woman who's casually introduced as being of Asian heritage, and then creates a racist stereotypical voice and character for the rest of the chapter. I don't even feel comfortable letting my daughter listen to this. Audible should be ashamed of themselves for publishing this and marketing it for children.

Great story awkward performance

This is one of my favorite books and I absolutely love Claire contreras. I wasn't particularly impressed with the performance. I don't think the actors really understood the characters.
I'd suggest you read the book yourself before you get the audio version
