Historia
Despite the popular theology of our day, Christians should not expect to get out of experiencing the tribulation or the end times. Nowhere in the Bible does the Lord promise us this, say Michael Brown and Craig Keener, two leading, acclaimed Bible scholars. In fact, they say, Jesus promises us tribulation in this world. Yet this is no reason to fear. In this fascinating, accessible, and personal book, Brown and Keener walk you through what the Bible really says about the rapture, the tribulation, and the end times.

Not convinced
Revisado: 03-26-25
I’m just not convinced that a pre-trib rapture is incorrect. Way too many proofs were left out and not commented on like Daniel 9 and many others. I would say it was a good try though. I wouldn’t be dogmatic about the pre-trib rapture but theologically it doesn’t make sense for the bride and body of Christ to be under God’s wrath. Where is the church during the tribulation? Why are there 2 witnesses and 3 angels preaching the gospel along with 144,000 Jews? Why isn’t the church proclaiming the gospel? Please don’t say the church is Israel. Those saints in revelation are martyrs during the tribulation. Yes they are people who came to faith during the tribulation because of the 2 witnesses and the 144,000. With regard to revelation 3:10 “Because you kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of trial, that hour which is to come upon the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.”, all you have to do is finish reading the letters to the 7 churches and bam! You’re in the time of trouble that will come upon the whole earth! It’s obviously speaking of the tribulation and being kept from it. Revelation 6:10, 11:10, 13:7-8, 13:12, 13:14, 14:6-7, 17:8 all mention the “those who dwell on the earth”.
Like I said, there’s sooo much that got left out of this study but this is a review not a rebuttal paper. I would recommend to people to do their own further investigation. Finally I leave you with one other passage in the Old Testament. Genesis 18:16-18:33. You didn’t mention this when you were talking about Lot and sodom.
Genesis 18:22-33 (NKJV)
22 Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the LORD. 23 And Abraham came near and said, “Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked? 24 Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it? 25 Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”
26 So the LORD said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.”
27 Then Abraham answered and said, “Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: 28 Suppose there were five less than the fifty righteous; would You destroy all of the city for lack of five?”
So He said, “If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it.”
29 And he spoke to Him yet again and said, “Suppose there should be forty found there?”
So He said, “I will not do it for the sake of forty.”
30 Then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Suppose thirty should be found there?”
So He said, “I will not do it if I find thirty there.”
31 And he said, “Indeed now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose twenty should be found there?”
So He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty.”
32 Then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten should be found there?”
And He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.” 33 So the LORD went His way as soon as He had finished speaking with Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.
The tribulation will be the worst time in human history but God would not destroy Sodom with any righteous left in the city. So I agree, I’m not afraid of the antichrist either because I won’t be there.
