Revisado: 11-14-20
You have to appreciate something like this. This book cost a ton of time to publish and narrate. There are plenty of details I appreciated about this, but I can only write so much. It is basic: If you buy this audio book, you are going to learn more about the topic. The title of this book fits the material, so there is no question about how legitimate this audiobook is. So, here you have it.

The narrator appears to be competent, and the writer knows a ton about the subject. In my perspective, it was quite perfect. There might just have been a few barely recognizable mistakes in there, but they didn't trouble me. Whenever you are able to listen to a storyteller who is this great, and about an idea that you have an interest in, you don't care about the rest. That's the end of the that. I found out a lot just by soaking all of it up. The info was terrific, particularly if you already understand a bit about the theme. In fact, you may know nothing at all about it and still follow along easily.

Jealousy is a common emotion. It’s one of those things that has been weaved into our very nature to protect ourselves from allowing others to cheat on us or have our competitors walk all over us without doing anything about it. But what if it goes too far? What if it becomes an annoyance? In this audiobook, we will define jealousy and cover various aspects about this controversial topic.

Revisado: 05-08-20
This book enlightens the insecure. It touches on all the feelings we secretly have. I am not a naturally jealous person per se, but if someone were to steal my partner away, I would definitely be upset. There are a lot of things we can learn from this book regarding controlling emotions, self-discipline, delayed gratification, or self-image. It goes way beyond just the simple concept of being a little jealous, and beyond the concept of jealousy in romantic relationships. It covers sibling rivalry, competition at work or in sports, and so much more. great thing to listen to. The narrator was pleasant to listen to as well.

This "Summaries from History" series is something I'm going to follow. I've seen a few books about the Roman Empire come by, and maybe one or two others. Definitely up my alley. The African mythology one is interesting. Thanks.

Yes
Revisado: 12-03-19
This is the kind of book I was looking for, even though the topics vary. First, it starts off with talking about artificial intelligence (did I spell that right?) and neural networks. This may not be directly related to the brain for some, but it actually is, because those neural networks are mimicking our brains and become superior in some aspects (actually, a lot). It's the future, and Elon Musk, even though he sometimes just rambles about dumb stuff, doesn't stop talking about it.
Then it goes into split personality disorders. We've all seen the movies, but what is it and how do you recognize it? Do a lot of people have it? What blew my mind, was that it said that even a few percent of the population actually has some light form of that disorder, even though they don't always show it.
Other topics were similarly intriguing, which makes it a must-listen in my eyes.

Personally, I liked this thing about...
Revisado: 12-03-19
I liked the facts about the hypothalamus. That's something I think we all need to understand better, because we all have one, and it determines a lot of our behavior. Are you fat, emotional, frustrated? It all relates to the hypothalamus. I also liked a lot of other things, like the details it pointed out about the differences between men's and women's brains. I knew there was a difference, but I didn't know they were as different as they claim in this book. Some myths got debunked too here, though. Good audiobook, and I highly recommend it, if these are the kinds of topics you're into.

Does it have any relation to hypnosis and how the subconscious mind thinks? Find out how and why. What is multiple sclerosis, and what are its effects? Memory: we all wish we had a better one....

This is interesting
Revisado: 12-03-19
Books like this can help us gain greater understanding of what are minds are capable of. First of all, I loved the fact that the placebo effect is finally addressed. I know of too many health product scams and it's becoming more prevalent. Interesting take from the author to say that the placebo can actually work, and to find out what we can do to take advantage of it.
I liked the other parts of the book too, but this was the most interesting thing. Other than that, good voice, good narrator.
