Girl boss
Revisado: 02-13-25
This takes place in London in the 1920s, there’s glitz and glamour but so many hardships. Alice Diamond is an inspiration, she’s very head strong and her ability to come up with solutions quickly is amazing.
The story follows Alice as she tries to be more than just a girl from the Mint, along with other women that wish to not be controlled by men. She’s incredibly tough and dangerous when she needs to be, which is quite often.
The all women gang was super interesting, it definitely gives peaky blinder vibes but with women and some theft. The characters are all super complex which made for an amazing read. That ending was phenomenal, Alice somehow becoming stronger was everything.

Mediocre
Revisado: 02-05-25
Hades POV is definitely more interesting than Persephone's.
You see more of the gods in this book and it makes for a better storyline. I was able to understand Hades and his action more but it was the same scenes from ATOD so at times it felt like I was reading the same book again. It was a fun read but I won't be reading the rest of the series.

Historia
Buckhead isn’t a place you live, it’s a place you survive. And that applies even to the wealthy housewives that have it all. Fancy cars, designer clothes, and daily salon appointments aren’t nearly enough to keep them fulfilled and happy. Because in this town, privilege and opulence go hand in hand with betrayal and revenge. Jenny, the owner of Glow, an exclusive membership-only beauty salon, knows that better than anyone, because she knows everything about these housewives—down to each individual strand of hair.

real housewives with a touch of mystery and murder
Revisado: 02-05-25
This was amazing. Buckhead where all the snotty rich housewives are. Jenny is the owner of glow salon and gets all the gossip and jujicy deets from her clients. The women in the story are catty, spoiled, and full of plastic surgery. I could not stop listening it was that good. It had great housewives drama and affairs. Bryce was the worst, could not stand him. The narration was perfect, you really felt immersed in the story.

fabulous
Revisado: 02-05-25
The characters in this were so complex, it added so much to the story. I love a good thriller or suspense aspect. That ending was perfect, it was exactly what i wanted to happen, The multiple narrators did amazingly, you really feel the different characters and their experiences.

Nothing extraordinary
Revisado: 02-05-25
It was alright. It was very much instant love yet I felt like the chemistry was lacking. She wasn't the best reporter and she constantly thought the worst of hades even when he was doing something good. The setting being modern day Greece with the Greek Gods was interesting and how the gods would give 'favors' to the mortals. The plot was there but it could have been better as there were inconsistencies and the spice was whatever. The narrator did a great job considering the plot was bland.
