Just incredible. I am... speechless after this book. In my opinion, one of the best fantasies I've had the privilege of experiencing.

weird convenient necromancy / narrator is a lot

Adding personality to the characters is great, however the male narrator overdoes it to the point that I think it ruins the characters. Especially around combat - makes the main MC seem more edgelord than I think he is intended to be. Female narrator is good. If you like overpowered MCs with convenient morality for their decisions then this is a book for you. Story is drawn out and repetitive in development. Author uses the same descriptors within the same breath which is - frustrating. Spoilers:



MC is a dark hero is who uses necromancy. Which already isn't my favorite however things fall into his lap extremely conveniently. MC tries thing - omg he is a prodigy. MC trains. MC trains. MC trains. Congratulations MC can now kill w.e he wants because he wants to. He eats orcs. I don't love it when people eat sentient beings but it's w.e. Author brings up harem creation by other humans and sex slaves (some of whom are children) and it's a little ick. Females are pretty much always sexualized when described.. Anyways - I think it needs to be your cup of tea and it's not mine. if there is a second one I will 95% chance not be reading it.

it's the same good time. Sometimes power scaling gets weird in books like this but if you liked the previous books you'll like this. love the world building and adventures

good story on/off narration

got through the whole book, long, action packed though. a little unrealistic but fine. author makes his opinions of the world pretty clear throughout the book with some convenient genius from the main character, enough to be believable to a point however some things are just a little humorous as people way older and supposedly wiser just let him do w.e. For someone of his background he has a very... learned intellect with almost full knowledge of how to apply it with no realistic experience.

it's fun, characters have a depth, overall I enjoyed it. the narrator though doesn't do a great job of distinguishing voices so conversations have rough paces and can be just a little confusing.

still a good read/listen for those who enjoy fantasy world/litrpg genres without a ton of stat sheets

the only weird thing is how he manages the stat part of things but you soon get used to it as you get sucked into the story. literally cannot wait for the next book

it's good - not great but good

I don't regret the purchase, decent tower climber tale - sometimes story elements felt rushed or unjustifiable. narrator is solid and pleasant to listen to. good interaction between male and female characters - no forced romance or women falling all over the main character for no reason. My one biggest complaint would be inconsistency with power scaling impressions. hard to explain. otherwise solid listen, I didn't put it down like I have with some series and I'll continue to buy more if the author continues the series
