Too Preachy

I couldn't help but tune out every time I tried to give this a chance. Two family members recommended this author and book to me but I couldn't hear anything but a holier- than- thou attitude. The narrating voice was nasal and thin. I am sure there are pearls of wisdom and good intentions in this book. However, I will return it.

I was surprised by how fun learning Spanish was with the Pimsleur audio was. It made a long drive pass quickly. I look forward to testing my learning in Mexico next month.

Clever and Delightful

Would you consider the audio edition of World Without End to be better than the print version?
I really enjoy the detail in which Mr. Follett writes his characters. The story is similar to the prequel, The Pillars of the Earth, with new characters and new conflicts. The Black Plague is central to the story and it is thought provoking to hear about how it affected communities. I especially like the prose and the narrative.
