Historia
Victor Davis Hanson joins Spectator TV to talk about the first 101 days of Donald Trump’s second presidency, describing it as a bold counterrevolution against decades of cultural, political, and economic drift. He discusses Trump’s sweeping agenda—from closing the border and challenging DEI initiatives to confronting foreign policy orthodoxy and trade imbalances—framing it as a populist backlash against elite institutions and progressive ideologies. Hanson highlights the deepening divide between America's coastal elites and its working class, and argues that Trump's unorthodox style ...

What's the Big Idea? Finally, Sarah Vine (once memorably described as being ‘like and loathed in equal measure, divisive, but never indecisive’) and Peter Hitchens (a man whose writing a critic was called to compare to a Guardsman’s boot: ‘as highly polished and potentially lethal’) meet once a week to look at the world and mutter, alas… Acclaimed columnist and journalist Sarah Vine and best-selling author and broadcaster Peter Hitchens discuss and dissect social, economic, and pop cultural flotsam and jetsam that have risen out of the dark waters of that week’s news. ...

Only small complaint is that Peter's deep bass voice is slightly distorted and indistinct at times. I suggest that the sound is cleaned up during post production. otherwise the podcast is excellent.

I have listened to every episode since it started during Covid. Both presenters and the choice of guests are always highly entertaining. The combination of gentle humour and sharp commentary makes for the best podcast out there.

Historia
In an overwhelmingly Lefty comedic landscape, right-leaning stand-up Geoff Norcott is a rare beast. In WMPT he gets to the heart of what ordinary people think about social and political issues. Whatever the contentious subject – he’ll be honest and blunt, but without being a dick. Mostly. Guests come from across the social and political divide, including, Romesh Ranganathan, Jonathan Pie, Katherine Ryan, Andrew Doyle, David Baddiel, Konstantin Kisin, Owen Jones and many more. Geoff has appeared on Live at the Apollo, Backstage with Katherine Ryan, Would I lie to You? Have I Got News For ...

Historia
An off-duty coast guardsman is fishing with his family when he calls in some suspicious behaviour from a nearby boat. It's a snazzy craft, slick and outfitted with extra horsepower, and is zipping along until it slows to pick up a surfaced diver...a diver who was apparently alone, without his own boat, in the middle of the ocean. None of it makes sense, and his hunch is proved right when all three guardsmen who come out to investigate are shot and killed.

Historia
Comedian Geoff Norcott should have been Labour through and through. He grew up on a council estate, both of his parents were disabled, and his Dad was a Union man. So, how was it that he grew up to vote Tory? In this courageously honest and provocative memoir, Geoff unpicks his working-class upbringing and his political journey from left to right.
