I have always enjoyed Louis L’Amour audiobooks, and this one did not disappoint. The cherry on top was Beau Bridges as the narrator. If you want a good, clean western look no further than Louis L’Amour.

Wow, a surprising page turner

This book had been sitting in my library for quite some. I skipped over it multiple times when deciding what to listen to next because it is not my typical genre. On my recent vacation, I had to drive for six hours one way and I decided it was the one for the road trip and I am so glad I did. Let me just say that the authors vocabulary and play on words is remarkable. The story tugged at my heart while at times angering me but ultimately I just found myself rooting for the main character. I couldn’t stop listening because I was so wrapped up in it and ended up listing to the last 45 minutes at 1.5 the speed so I could finish it before arriving at my destination. The narrator was exceptional! I can see why this book made Reese’s book club.

Delightful!

This was a delightful and uplifting book about love, friendship and choosing happiness over success. The book was clean in the romance department and the negative drama was just enough to add to the story without changing the positive theme. It reiterated my want to move to the country!

This was a wonderful audiobook of an Agatha Christie classic. Of course the story was mysterious and twisty right until the end but the narration was top notch.

The ending was worth the wait

The story started out slow - so slow that I stopped and started this book twice. Finally determined to get through it because I felt compelled to and grateful I did. First, the author is magnificent in describing the detail of every element in the story. Second the story was a bit mysterious and the ending ever so sweet. The story will remind you that no matter what, love prevails. Don’t be discouraged that it starts out slow, savor the attention to detail and let your imagination run.

Klepto Racoon Hilarious

I loved the raccoon being a klepto, gave him some substance other than a love sick fan of Octo Cat. The twist at the end threw me so I am curious to see what the next installment will reveal.

Sweet Romance

This was a sweet read/listen. There was a lot of backstory and I think it helped to understand the characters. The narrator has a pleasant yet fun voice and I like the way the writer writes and am looking forward to the next book.

My new favorite Nicholas Sparks book

This book was so well written and the narration top notch. Everyone loves the Notebook and my favorite has always been Message in a Bottle until now. The Longest Ride just tugged at my heart and reminded me what life is really about. I really enjoyed this book.

I love these short and quirky mystery novels. I laugh the whole time - mostly at Octo Cat’s view of humans and his self righteousness. If you want a quick and funny read/listen the. Molly Fitz Pet Detective series is it.
