Historia
Those who were left behind after the Rapture must now make a crucial decision. Each person must choose whether to receive the mark of the beast, or die. Never has faith in God been more important for the group of believers called the Tribulation Force, who now face danger on all sides. Valiantly, they continue to urge new followers to accept Christ's love.

horrible narrator
Revisado: 06-01-23
This narrator is the worst! He doesn't even pronounce things correctly, and obviously didn't read any of the other books. What is wrong with these publishers? And where is Richard Ferrone? He was far superior!

one of the worst narrators ever
Revisado: 05-31-23
Why do publishers let narrators work without reading the books in the series that came before? And what a buffoon. He can't even pronounce Tsion (Zion), and he made an evil, but polished politician sound like Dracula 🤦🏼♀️.

Historia
It would be sheer folly to try to conceal the true nature of Althalus, for his flaws are the stuff of legend. He is, as all men know, a thief, a liar, an occasional murderer, an outrageous braggart, and a man devoid of even the slightest hint of honor. Yet of all the men in the world, it is Althalus, unrepentant rogue and scoundrel, who will become the champion of humanity in its desperate struggle against the forces of an ancient god determined to return the universe to nothingness.

Definitely not Eddings' best
Revisado: 05-11-23
The Belgariad and the Mallorean are my favorite series, so I was hoping this would be a superb listen. It was okay, but doubt I'd listen to it twice.

Historia
She soars above a world of warriors, kings, and priests. The daughter of Belgarath and the shape-shifter Poledra, she has fought wars, plotted palace coups, and worked her powerful magic for 3,000 years. Now, Polgara looks back at her magnificent life, in this fitting crown jewel to the saga that is the Eddingses' Belgariad and Mallorean cycles. Her hair streaked white by her father's first touch, her mind guided by a mother she will not see again for centuries, Polgara begins life in her Uncle Beldin's tower, and in the prehistorical, magical Tree that stands in the middle of the Vale.

Worst narrator ever!
Revisado: 05-08-23
How did this audio version ever get published? The narrator is horrible. she clearly never read any of the other books that are the beginning of the story. her portrayal of the characters is completely inaccurate, and she even pronounces their names wrong. She is awful and the publisher should re-record with a better narrator who actually knows what they're doing.
