Historia
Viktor Orlov had a longstanding appointment with death. Once Russia’s richest man, he now resides in splendid exile in London, where he has waged a tireless crusade against the authoritarian kleptocrats who have seized control of the Kremlin. His mansion in Chelsea’s exclusive Cheyne Walk is one of the most heavily protected private dwellings in London. Yet somehow, on a rainy summer evening, in the midst of a global pandemic, Russia’s vengeful president finally manages to cross Orlov’s name off his kill list.

The story line is not really typical of what I've come to love about this series. Also, though I hate to criticize the narrator doesn't have the ability to give each character a distinguished voice. I had a very difficult time knowing who was saying what. Why didn't George Guidall do the story? He's been the narrator for years.

Worth the Wait
Revisado: 07-15-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely! The Outlander series are the best books I've ever read.
What other book might you compare Written in My Own Heart's Blood to and why?
There truly are none to compare to this but I can only recommend a series I've followed by Daniel Silva of "Gabriel Allon".
What does Davina Porter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Davina's voice is beyond praise - there are no words to accurately describe her ability to create the perfect voice for each character.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, but I don't want to spoil the story for someone else. It takes place at the print shop in Philadelphia.
Any additional comments?
Keep writing Diana.

I don't think so
What other book might you compare The Devil Will Come to and why?
I can't
What didn’t you like about Maria Elena Infantino’s performance?
There are changes of action in the book (one senario to another) and the narrator never took a pause to indicate the change. It became very conveluted at times.

In Mrs. Lincoln’s Dressmaker, novelist Jennifer Chiaverini presents a stunning account of the friendship that blossomed between Mary Todd Lincoln and her seamstress, Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Keckley, a former slave who gained her professional reputation in Washington, D.C. by outfitting the city’s elite.
