Historia
When Garnet McGee returns to her small Vermont hometown for the holidays, she vows to solve the mystery of the murder which shattered her life 10 years ago. But then the unexpected happens - she dies in an accident and gets brought back to life by paramedics. Now she's hearing words, seeing visions, and experiencing strange sensations. Are these merely symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder and an overactive imagination, or is she getting messages from a paranormal presence?

Not like Stephanie Plum
Revisado: 02-08-24
The story was good but the comparison made to S Plum is misleading. This story doesn’t have that level of wit and engaging characters. Language is a bit stilted and old fashioned.

Historia
The forest is my happy place. A chance to get away from my stifling apartment, the sweat of the city, a job I hate. A Sunday morning spent hiking in the woods with my dog is a dream come true...until it becomes a waking nightmare. I don't see the hole until it's too late. Then I'm at the bottom of it, staring up at the ground 12 feet above me. A stupid accident. Or was it? Because soon, someone's bringing me food and water. Someone who doesn't want me to see his face. Someone who knows what I did.

Kept me wondering
Revisado: 10-31-23
But none of the characters were very likable and parts of story didn’t quite hang together or make sense. Some of the voices were annoying.

Not great
Revisado: 03-21-23
Started off solid but then the characters got annoying, repetitive and just unlikeable. Too much thesis-type dissection at the end.

The year is 2025, and a mysterious virus has broken out in Scotland - a lethal illness that seems to effect only men. When Dr. Amanda MacLean reports this phenomenon, she is dismissed as hysterical. Well written and thought provoking
Revisado: 07-31-21
Interesting perspectives but too many characters to get emotionally involved. It was obviously well researched.

Historia
You went to bed at home, just like every other night. You woke up in the back of a taxi, over 250 miles away. You have no idea how you got there and no memory of the last 10 hours. You have no phone, no money, just a suicide note in your coat pocket, in your own writing. You know you weren't planning to kill yourself. Your family and friends think you are lying. Someone knows exactly what happened to you. But they're not telling....

Possibly the most predictable and dumb ending ever, and so tedious getting there. Very disappointing.
