Historia
Tara never imagined her introduction to Ireland like this - carrying her mam's ashes to honor her final request: "Tell Johnny I'm sorry.... Take me home." She's never met her mam's estranged brother, Johnny Meehan, who owns an architectural salvage business in Galway. Although Tara is immediately charmed by the medieval city, the locals seem wary of strangers, and a gypsy warns her that death is all around. When Tara arrives at her uncle's stone cottage, the prophesy seems true. A dead man lies sprawled over the threshold in a pool of blood.

This is my favorite book so far written by Carlene O'Connor. The fact that it's the first in a new series made it even more enjoyable. Interesting characters and who done it clues. Looking forward to your next book!

Revisado: 05-11-19
Beautifully written and narrated, this suspenseful mystery had me hooked before I finished listening to the first chapter. The cast members are well developed. narrators superb. I could barely wait to get to the end and hear how the leftover loose ends were woven together and at the same time not wanting it to ever end!

Historia
Sometimes a unique talent is inherited - and such is the case for Trouble, son of Familiar, the black cat detective. Trouble's rather indolent life in the sleepy town of Wetumpka, Alabama is upended when a serial killer arrives on the scene. Trouble begins to apply the skills he learned from his dad and his hero, Sherlock Holmes. When local bookseller Tammy Lynn is attacked at the site of an impact crater, Trouble realizes he must protect his human and solve the mystery of the Silk Stocking Killer.

A gem that outshines many another cozy mystery!
Revisado: 05-10-19
Loved the development of characters and story line. It is a "cozy" mystery, better then the usual in that the main story line is more plausible then many of the usual cozy mysteries. The narrator for Trouble, the cat in this cast, is excellent. Trouble's role in the story feels nearly believable. Just right. Good writing. Great narrators.

Historia
History has all but forgotten.... In the spring of 1708, an invading Jacobite fleet of French and Scottish soldiers nearly succeeded in landing the exiled James Stewart in Scotland to reclaim his crown. Now, Carrie McClelland hopes to turn that story into her next best-selling novel. Settling herself in the shadow of Slains Castle, she creates a heroine named for one of her own ancestors and starts to write. But then she discovers her novel is more fact than fiction....

Extraordinary! Beautifully written and narrated. Of the hundreds of audiobooks I've listened to, this one stands above most others. I have a short list of the truly unforgettable and cherished books I've discovered where both the Author and Narrator have come together to create a lasting piece of art. This is one of those.

Another 5 star book! A an all nighter listen!
Revisado: 09-05-18
Another enthralling episode of the Walt Longmire series. I listened to all of it through a long night. The first few chapters kept me wondering whether I had somehow missed a book before this one as I realized events had already been set in motion and were an untold story of their own. Nonetheless the listener is quickly given just enough information to understand the events leading up to Walt Longmire's search for his kidnapped daughter in Mexico. In spite of the pure evil that exist among so many in the world Mr Johnson once more tells of the potential for human decency, compassion and love in it's many forms and manages to convince us that there is a possibility evil will eventually prove the weaker foe. George Guidall as always is superb.

Best of Coben's books to date
Revisado: 10-12-16
Even though my husband and I have been members since audible first went online and between us have over 1800 books, I rarely leave comments. Not sure why as I have recommended many outstanding authors and books to friends and advised friends not to bother with others. This is my favorite of Harlen Coben's books to date. By the end my heart was pounding. Suspense, tears, joy, resolution, future possibilities.... this story wraps up with everything you could hope for!

Take a deep breath before you start. This is an action packed thrill ride based on a seriously ugly biochemical threat to Americans by terrorists. Military heroes, good vs evil, even a damsel in distress...all here, sure to keep you listening without pause clear to the end! Loved it.
