Historia
New York Times best-selling author David L. Golemon delivers pulse-pounding thrillers that rocket along from start to finish. Enjoyable, interesting theme. Plot similarities to many other bio, military, CIA, government yarns. I really picked just for the narrator.

Historia
Verity Jane, gifted app whisperer, takes a job as the beta tester for a new product: a digital assistant, accessed through a pair of ordinary-looking glasses. "Eunice", the disarmingly human AI in the glasses, manifests a face, a fragmentary past, and a canny grasp of combat strategy. Realizing that her cryptic new employers don’t yet know how powerful and valuable Eunice is, Verity instinctively decides that it’s best they don’t.

Historia
New York Times best-selling author Kim Stanley Robinson returns with a bold and brilliant vision of New York City in the next century. As the sea levels rose, every street became a canal. Every skyscraper an island. For the residents of one apartment building in Madison Square, however, New York in the year 2140 is far from a drowned city. There is the market trader, who finds opportunities where others find trouble. There is the detective, whose work will never disappear—along with the lawyers, of course.

Nano thin plot. Aspects strain credulity, even for SIFi. Alcoholic character in the future in the context of other medical and bio engineering feats in the future, just didn’t fit and was an annoyance, as were the narrators’ accents. I try to finish all I start. It was hard to hang on to the end on this one.
Thanks for reading.

Historia
First published in monthly parts from March 1852 to September 1853, this novel follows the fortunes of three pedestrian characters; Esther Summerson, Ada Clare, and Richard Carstone. The story they tell embondies Dickens' merciless indictment of the Court of Chancery and its bungling, morally corrupt handling of the endless case of Jarndyce v. Jarndyce, giving the novel its scope and meaning.

Revisado: 12-06-20
So enjoyed this Dickens tale. I am nearing the end of his works yet to read or listen to. For me, as with no other author, I look forward to reading or listening to all again and again.
Mr. Vance’s narration added tremendously to the experience.

Historia
When Elwood Curtis, a black boy growing up in 1960s Tallahassee, is unfairly sentenced to a juvenile reformatory called the Nickel Academy, he finds himself trapped in a grotesque chamber of horrors. Elwood’s only salvation is his friendship with fellow “delinquent” Turner, which deepens despite Turner’s conviction that Elwood is hopelessly naive, that the world is crooked, and that the only way to survive is to scheme and avoid trouble.

What a brutal story, that everyone should hear. Prompted me to investigate further. You should do that too!
Revisado: 01-08-20
Hard to get your head around the brutality described in this novel based on real events at a Florida “ school “ for boys. The true story isn’t finished yet. Investigating what happened will sicken you more than the novel. So many kids that never had a chance to be.

Big Disappointment
Revisado: 05-12-18
I wonder if production was too hurried on this AB?
I’ve listened to other books by NS. Premise and story were stronger on those.
I found the time check announcements and breaks to various narrators annoying.
My chief complaint is the change in character voices over the course of the story.
I really enjoy listening to audiobooks, not this one however.
Stay away from this one.
