I liked the book. Good read. Holly does not hold back, which I like. I am amazed by how 'bad' the mansion's environment was/ may still be. Sure, it was too good to be true, but this just shows how manipulating the camera and reality TV ( so not reality) by Hugh Hefner and E! create a completely fake persona. I am walking away from this book thinking that Playboy is pure trash. Sure, Holly trashes others, but after what she has been put through, I can't blame her! She does a good job explaining why she stayed despite such a negative environment. I do recommend this book! Also very well narrated!

Disturbing images!

The author has a good story in mind, but many of the scenes are extremely grotesque. Warning: do not read this if you are not into sadistic and gory scenes. I gave this three stars because I am pretty open to paranormal themes, but I have to say that I found many of the scenes in this book disturbing and disgusting. I believe that if the scenes were described in a less glory fashion, this could've been a much better book for a paranormal romance.

Terrible monotone narrator with seriously foolish heroine

Narrator was so boring... One has to imagine past his monotone performance to see the story as more than just 'a read'... Story very hot at beginning, yet then takes a nose dive as the heroine acts more like an unintelligent 'brainless' caricature of a 'blond' rather than a scientist. Story could have been a lot better.

Not a very good story and rape scenes are gross. Really weak. There are much better wolf pack romance novels. This was pretty much garbage in my book.

Great story and very hot! A seriously fun read.. I could not take too many breaks as wanted to know what happened next.
This is not a story for those offended by well described sexual scenes. Yet for those that are open and love a great paranormal romance, this is right up there with the best!

Really really bad!

I am beside myself at all the great reviews. I have listened to audiobooks based on books by Karen Marie Moning, J R Ward, Jeanine Frost, Suzanne Wright, Thea Harrison, Kresley Cole, Etc...
This was dreadful! The story is just lame and the narrators were clear yet ugghhh, just bad. The one reading Lisa sounded like a boring librarian and the one reading Grim was annoying.
There is nothing exciting about this story. It is dry and potentially entertaining to one that has not read paranormal romances by some of the greats.
I am not recommending this to anyone and am annoyed I read reviews as that is what lead me to get the audiobook. What a waste of time. This is just bad.

Great story with bad Romanian

I really liked the third installment in The Dark Prince series. It was sexy, action packed, gut wrenching, and kept me on a roller coaster the whole way through. This was a great read! Some scenes are harsh, yet they play well into the story.
The Romanian in this book was not all that complicated ( I am fluent in Romanian). The author totally destroyed a beautiful
Language with horrible pronunciations, where many times her Romanian was so terrible that one could not discern what she says.
Other than that, I love this story!

Wow!

Declan Chase starts off as a bad guy, but he totally makes up for that as the story unfolds. Regan's torture is insane, yet not to the point where it is graphic or nauseating, and it takes up only a couple of short bursts in the story. The rest is an evolving relationship between the two that goes from complicated to just right. I loved this story! It was hot and emotional and the way it unfolds lends for a great book. Wow!
