The books in the Keeper of the Lost Cities series are amazing. I enjoy the fantasy world these books are set in that includes basic fantasy creatures like elves, ogres, and trolls with new twists and new creatures like alicorns. The adult and teen characters are realistic. The main characters are well developed. I particularly enjoyed the unexpected plot twist in the climax of this book. I'm ready to start the next book and find out more about Keefe's legacy and his mother's plan. Sofie Foster, the main character, doesn't disappoint. She works her way through teen relationship problems while growing more powerful and learning to lead a team in this book. Great listen! For the parents out there, this series is great, uplifting listen for teens.

My 11 year old daughter greatly enjoyed reading this series. She actually read a couple chapters of the first book with me. Now I am listening to the series. This particular book had plot twists I definitely didn't see coming. The characters are developed extremely well. The characters are realistically emotionally complex teens, parents, mentors, and villains. There is no inappropriate language or content. The narration is very enjoyable. I plan to keep listening to this series. I think this would be an enjoyable book/series to listen to with tweens or teens that enjoy fantasy books. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed this book. The narrator did well. She did a great job of doing many unique voices that were pleasant to listen to and could easily be identified and none of which were grating. Writing about characters in training going thru a tutorial on a basic plotline is a refreshingly new concept for a book. As someone who enjoys reading and discussing famous books and plays, I got a big kick out of the famous characters included in this book and the way they act and speak that so perfectly fits each character. This book is an exciting listen that encourages team work, changing for the better, and helping others.

This book explains in detail John Harrison's work creating the first three sea clocks and first sea watch. He invented these clocks to be used at sea to determine a ship's east west position, longitude. There was actually a 20,000 pound prize for solving the longitude problem. The book detailed John Harrison's competition with the lunar distance method to win this prize. This book is interesting because it discusses the many difficulties Harrison faced in dealing with the Board of Longitude and his competitors in claiming the longitude prize. Very interesting book with great narration.

My three children, ages 9 to 13, and I listen to Hannah Swensen books together during lunch. My 13 year old son asked for one to listen to by himself so I bought this audiobook. When he was done, I listened to it. We all enjoy the narration and main characters. Most importantly the Hannah Swenson books are solid mystery books that don't have cursing. taking the Lord's name in vain, or sexual content (just a few kisses). Great books for family listening.
