Historia
Everyone in the small town of Denton is searching for Isabelle Coleman, a missing 17-year-old girl. All they've found so far is her phone and another girl they didn't even know was missing. Mute and completely unresponsive to the world around her, it's clear this mysterious girl has been damaged beyond repair. All Detective Josie Quinn can get from her is a name: Ramona. Currently suspended from the force for misconduct, Josie takes matters into her own hands as the name leads her to evidence linking the two girls.

Twisted until the end
Revisado: 04-23-24
Good story- "bad guy" cleverly hidden until the end. At times, the author can over-describe scenes and lost me to boredom, but quickly got me back once she moves on with the actual story. On the other other hand, I'm not sure how any of these audible narrations by this narrator ever received approval by an editor! She mispronounces so many words, it's often distracting from the story. I will probably avoid future books narrated by her.

Snooze
Revisado: 12-18-23
Author uses every word in the thesaurus to describe something, it puts you to sleep. The narrator speaks even the most mundane sentence with so much emotion, it makes you questionin if you really understood the meaning. it was annoying to listen to.

Almost painful to listen to
Revisado: 03-18-19
I’ve listened to all of Cornwall’s books in this series so far and am disappointed that the narrator changed. I am very dissatisfied with the narrator of this book - she’s awful. Her voice changes are almost comedic, the rest of the time...it’s hard to articulate what is wrong with her- maybe inappropriately passionate? I’m not sure how to explain it exactly, but I will definitely avoid books narrated by this person in the future.

Doesn’t belong in this series
Revisado: 10-17-18
I enjoyed the storyline very much. However, with the exception of reference to Alex Cross’ ancestor, it has nothing to do with the Alex Cross in the rest of these series. This should’ve been a stand-alone book or a new series altogether. Now, on to the next book in the series, fingers cross that it gets back to the real Alex Cross.

Historia
The Profiler's Daughter is a psychologically haunting thriller that combines murder mystery, love triangle, and family intrigue in one satisfying page burner. Sky Stone was born into the wealth and privilege of Boston's oldest Brahmin family but chooses instead to follow in the footsteps of her deceased father, legendary FBI profiler Monk Stone. In the chilly morning hours before the Boston Marathon, when a beautiful university student is found strangled and mutilated, her body left at the base of Heartbreak Hill, Sky returns from self-imposed exile to investigate.

Ok Story, but HORRIBLE Narrator
Revisado: 11-11-16
Story was...ok. Minor parts of the story are drawn out with insignificant details. While important parts lack intensity and explanation. The storyline and characters were undeveloped and overall incomplete. Left me feeling like I just wasted a lot of time listening to bits & pieces of a story.
I will read a book, rather than listen to Gabrielle de Cuir narrate again! Her ridiculous attempts at various accents were almost comical and distracted from the storyline.

Historia
It was a crime so brutal, it changed the lives of even the most hardened homicide cops. The Haas family murders left a scar on the community nothing can erase, but everyone agrees that convicting the killer, Karl Dahl, is a start. Only Judge Carey Moore seems to be standing in the way. Her ruling that Dahl's prior criminal record is inadmissible raises a public outcry, and puts the judge in grave danger.

Awesome storyline! But, read it instead of listening to this version!
Revisado: 04-14-16
I'm a huge fan of Tami Hoag's book, this book lived up to my expectations! Tami masterfully intertwined several characters to keep you guessing who did what right up to the end. I'm half-way through reading all of her suspense/crime novels and fear I'll be done with them all before she publishes another!
With that said, I wish I would have read this book instead of listening to it. The man who read this book did the female voices in a way that almost made them seem comical when it should have been sincere and serious. The way he did the lead, strong Detective Sam Kovacs voice was whimpy, lacked emotion, and was distracting from the true climate in which Hoag meant it to be. I'm hoping he isn't the one reading her other books I've purchased to listen to here.
