Overall a great story.

If you loved red white and royal blue you’ll love this. I struggled initially because of how similar the two stories felt to me. The balance of characters and the challenges they faced felt very very similar. The shifts in plot at the beginning also fallowed an almost identical track. Things shifted about half way through and we are introduced to more that made these characters and their story unique. I thought the writing was excellent. The was actual substance although once the characters start having sex that does become a central focus to the story which was slightly disappointing. Over all I loved the characters and their struggles. I never felt the like challenges they faced were forced for fabricated for the sake of the story or creating artificial drama which can often happen in books. I think this is defiantly worth a listen.

Worth every minute

This story will break your heart and put it back together again. The characters are so loveable they win your heart immediately. They have real depth through the book they develop and grow together and apart as individuals. This is not just a fluff piece theirs genuine substance. Enough heat to keep in fun but not so much that there isn’t anything else going on. This is going in my favorites for sure

Finally!!!!!!

Squeeee I can’t believe this audio book is finally here. This has been a favourite book of mine since I first read it. I tend to listen more than read and wanted on so many occasions to have this book on audio and it’s finally here. The narrator was a perfect choice he does a beautiful job bringing the characters to life. He has a particularly sexy voice which I think works with the characters and dynamics he’s reading. The books is a super slow burn. Because of that the focus is really on character and character development. You see how the MC’s develop and grow as people and how they approach life both together and apart. Don’t walk run to get this book. It will make your week.

Obsessed with this series

This series has become a new favourite of mine. I’ve always loved Gail Carriger and this didn’t disappoint. The premise is unique and culturally poignant. It deals with the celebrity culture as a religion and its galactic implications. The characters are totally lovable. You aren’t given all the information at the beginning of the book but are allowed to immerse yourself into the world as if you’re one of the new recruits. I loved everything about this story. It is a slow burn and has zero heat. It’s implied but there is no on page descriptions. It isn’t missing either. It’s not the focus of the stories.

Great story worth the listen

I loved this. It had me at the edge of my seat. You need to listen to the first book before this one. Although it’s sort of stand alone the context is hugely important. Can’t wait for book 3

Both characters had depth

This was a really great book! The writing was excellent and the narration was of course fantastic. The characters were multidimensional and really struggled with real world issues. I will say certain sections dragged a little and it felt at one point like a forced misunderstanding. At the same time if you think about trauma our actions don’t always make sense. Really highly recommend. I will definitely be listening to this one a few more times

Fantastic and compelling

This book was such a surpise. It had me from minute one. The narrator was new to me and he did a great job bringing the story to life. There was a lot of stream in this story but it didn’t take over the plot and become the only thing the characters cared about. I can’t wait for the next book
