The way the story keeps evolving, the narrator, the characters, everything just keeps getting better!

I wont lie, this was tough to get through. aside from the main story, beats almost nothing was the same as the movie which threw me through a loop. Many events were merged for the film which made me realize early on that I would have to pay special attention, or lose my place and comprehension. Often I had to rewind several minutes to re-listen to a part I didn't fully comprehend. That said, the story is wonderful, and though it was not what I was expecting, it simultaneously met every expectation if that makes an ounce of sense. Very worth the read, but don't go into this thinking (as I did) "I loved the movies, so the book will be epic" fore they are almost nothing alike.

Nothing I write here could possibly do justice to the work of Orson Scott Card. He is an artist and his instrument is wordplay. This is a wonderful conclusion to the main story of Ender and so bittersweet. I want more but I know it had to end in order to not poison its' own legacy with sequelitis.

Anybody reading this has already read the previous works. Get this and thank me
later

I want to preface this with the fact that I have literally every single Extinction Cycle main book, and every single side story. I gave them all wildly glowing reviews, so take me seriously when I say that this book is a SNORE fest. It gets the whole start of the outbreak wrong and the entire first book is setup for a story that never pans out in a meaningful way. I'm currently halfway through the second book and I've given up. I literally fell asleep at some point because of the pointless story lines. I'm sure that people living in NZ would love this because it's always fun hearing names of cities you live in, but do yourself a favor and pass up this one. I'm not trying to sound like a Karen, but honestly I need to speak to the manager lol

Let's be real for a second: the author uses the neurostim as an Ex Machina over and over, and because of that he has turned Daisy into a certified Mary Sue that can speak any language fix any issue and stop any foe. With that critique out of the way, this is a very fun series. The Chithid are awesome and most of the crew are well rounded. They make very human mistakes and react accordingly. Some
of it is nonsensical but it rarely takes away from the story. I can't wait to read the next one. I have to admit though, I don't like the narrator all that much. Her range is from husky to slightly less husky, and a lot of her line delivery comes across as either condescending and overly snarky. The story would benefit from someone

Odds are you're not reading this to decide whether to pick up the series mid-shift, so I won't bother iterating on things you know. This book is, simply put, the strongest entry by a very large margin in this series. Everything has been leading to this moment and it pays off in this nail biting read. Absolutely fantastic.

The whole book was wonderful front to back. The infamous ending was pretty mild compared to what I remember. A must read.

I've read this book more times than literally any other in my life. Critical history with no exaggeration. A must read.

I had a hard time getting through this. It's not a bad book, but it's apparently REALLY not my style. I got it because I read it in high school and remembered it fondly, however it's nothing like I remember leading my to believe I mixed up two books. Long story short, this is a realistic telling of Boston as a Puritan...and everything that entails.

This book is very long and I had to take a break half way through for about a week in order to finish. Not because the book was bad but because it was, in the authors very own words, "very talky". Despite that, the Enderverse is one of unparalleled complexity to the point where the future science explained is so well done that it sounds not only real, but easy. Read this is you felt Speaker for the Dead left a hole in you, but if you never read it I feel like you won't be missing much unless you absolutely LOVE the Enderverse. I do, so on to book 4 I go!
