Historia
Ulysses S. Grant, 18th President of the United States and commander of the Union forces in the Civil War, tells the story of his life in his own words. In this opening volume, Grant covers his early years, including his time at the U.S. military academy at West Point and his service during the Mexican War under Zachary Taylor. Grant wrote his memoirs in order to rescue his family from debt and they were published as he lay dying of throat cancer. Today, they are an American classic.

Jersey well Represented.
Revisado: 01-01-23
There is something about a book set in New Jersey. I was born there and I love reading stories that used New Jersey as a backdrop. The people of New Jersey have a special kind of humor that I adore this This is a good mystery in that Way. It's not only a good story it also is instructional about how the judicial system works. Fun reed And enjoyable humor Plus A dog.

I it's a great book for those who love a brogue
Revisado: 03-20-18
I very much enjoyed this debut novel of this series and the narrator was wonderful! The plot of the mystery was tight and each circumstance the main character found herself in was logical. As usual with an amateur slueth, she went through the painful task of seeing EVERYONE as a suspect but that was acceptable considering what her circumstances were, her youth, and the fact that she was responsible for her five siblings. I hope there will be another volume soon.

I get a little annoyed by having to wait for the next volume in a series. I have listened to the first book THREE times now and keep checking for the next one to be on audible.
This is a perfect example of swashbuckling fantasy. War, pirates privateers, strong women, strong men, all brought to life by a master storyteller and a simply divine narrator. Do yourself a favor and read it.
