Make sure you stretch, because your abs will get absolutely blasted. I put this in my library as a joke, because my partner and I normally listen to an audiobook to go to sleep. After following the quickie planks workout, I felt really good burn. Now I am determined to keep doing these until I can do the longest one without pain. It's really motivational. I am in physical therapy, and this has made my home workouts more fun and helped improve my progress. It hurts to cough and laugh, but I can feel that my core is stronger already.

I have long been a fan of Scott Westerfeld's writing. I love a good afternoon length book. His work is always equally fast paced and thought provoking. I've been excited to read this title since he started promoting it on social media.

It can be a struggle to find books with fully dimensional female characters, and I really loved the way the protagonist introspects throughout the story. She is interesting and relatable, and she has normal human flaws. I love the moments where she agonizes over people's reactions to something, only to have it be no big deal. It's also really refreshing to see a nonbinary character. Representation is important, especially in YA!

The narrator has a pleasant voice and does good voices for each character. Her French pronunciation was so bad that I could not understand her, luckily the protagonist also doesn't speak French so it doesn't take away from the story. There is also a moment where she completely botches the pronunciation of the word archipelago. 4/5

I went into it assuming it was going to be a standalone like Extras. I was, therefore, not expecting the abrupt ending. I eagerly await the next book. 5/5
