Historia
What could cause a mother to believe that giving away her newborn baby is her only option? Cathy Glass is about to find out. From author of Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller Damaged comes a harrowing and moving memoir about tiny Harrison, left in Cathy's care, and the potentially fatal family secret of his beginnings. When Cathy is first asked to foster one-day old Harrison her only concern is if she will remember how to look after a baby.

Love these books!
Revisado: 07-12-23
I have listened to all Cathy’s books in 2 months. I love these books! Denica Fairman is the best narrator I’ve listened to! She does quite a few voices. Can’t wait for your new book “Unsafe” next month!

Historia
In July 1965, teenagers Sylvia and Jenny Likens were left in the temporary care of Gertrude Baniszewski, a middle-aged single mother, and her seven children. The Baniszewski household was overrun with children. There were few rules and ample freedom. Sadly, the environment created a dangerous hierarchy of social Darwinism where the strong preyed on the weak. What transpired in the following three months was both riveting and chilling.

I almost passed out listening to some parts of this. What horrible torture. The narrator is excellent in this story!

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Amazing! Thank you for sharing!
Revisado: 01-31-23
Do not pay attention to the negative reviews! They are probably the same people reading the fake tabloids!!! Harry has endured a lot. I’m glad he wrote this book so people can hear his side. He is not self indulgent and does not have growing up to do like some reviews stated! This book is well written and narrated. I highly recommend!!!

Way too many descriptions
Revisado: 09-23-22
Every little part of the story drags on with too many descriptions. Had a hard time sticking with it. What happens to her doesn’t start until chapter 4. This drags on too much.

Historia
Imagine never being able to close your eyes and remember the feel of your mother’s arms wrapped around you. Now imagine closing your eyes and remembering your mother’s tears splashing down on your face as she is on top of you, crying as she is trying to choke you to death. My mother left me these memories and many more during my traumatic childhood. After many years of struggling with trying to understand "Why me?" I took back control of my life and started saying, "It was me, now what am I going to do?" The answer is my book, "Why Me?"

I highly recommend this book. Could not stop listening. Never a dull moment. Very well read. Tragic what this girl went through and how the mother was never punished!
